The whole "Chest on ship, all fine, happy sailing. Boom next to chest, not fine, sad sailing" part was great lmaoo hilarious. I love dry humor so i loved this

The biggest mistakes that cost us our ship early on were:
1. Panicking about holes instead of actively fighting back or prioritising to fix mobility.
2. Not boarding enemy ships.
3. Getting overwhelmed by fire

I rarely (if ever) get in to any situation where I need harpoons to get out.
1- Raise your sails
2- Move wheel all the way to the left and wait for the ship to move as far as it will go.
3- Turn the wheel all the way to the right and wait for it to move.

Repeating steps 2-3 usually gently rocks you out of any tight spot until it turns enough to just sail away.

Smol Brain: Leave lanterns on

Big Brain: Turn off lanterns to avoid attention

*Galaxy Brain:* Acquire green and blue flames for lanterns so you look like a skelly ship

Another common player mistake: Leaving your ship's lanterns on will make experienced thirsty players lock on to you like a guided missile of sinking potential.

Turn off lanterns to make it harder for the enemy to lock on to you.

Thank you for your videos!
Today, I was doing a solo sloop reaper's session. Not for the loot, but rather to train. To bring enemies to me.
I found one sloop parked at an island, and sunk it. Then went for a reaper's chest. They came back, took me by surprise, so I sailed away. As we got past a fort, I decided to try out what I saw in your videos!

Went to a tower, shot a chainshot and an anchorball, and boarded with a keg. Didn't take long to sink them again.
So thank you for your videos! Applying what I see in it allows me to improve.

Love the humor! I had the advantage of “practicing” with my son’s character until I got my own but I’m still inexperienced in some areas. Most of this stuff I knew but a couple things were helpful and again, just the overall comedic sarcasm made it worth my time. Thanks!

I haven't played SOT since season 1 so I have a lot to catch up to. These beginner vids will definitely bring me up to date and get back to the gold grind

The last one was something I thought as a bug. Happened 2 times to me. Thanks for explaining! Also, we love the slight guitar music as background music in all your videos. Please continue keeping them. :)

dude thank you, i started playing SoT during the beta release and i haven't really played since they released the meg, so I'm essentially a new player and i despise people who speed towards you and sink you just because they can. this actually really helped me get back into the game :)

Me and my friend who have been playing for a year and half
write that down, write that down!

We found out about the ship disappearing after 10m recently, we were selling at Reapers and we crashed the ship to make it easier to drop stuff, we had a decent amount of loot so it took time to sell everything and a few secs after we removed the emissary flag our ship disappeared :o, we were lucky.

I must say; I LOVED the “ashen lord” skin and the “kraken” set you had on as the “new” player thing. By the way; what a familiar scene that was! And then it showed you at the end; with a rowboat.

That really is how it is nowadays 🤣

I just love good symbolism.

Thanks for the awesome video hehe I also like to sometimes harpoon backwoods and the set sails one step down on sloop hehe it rocks back and forward but with storms and heavy winds the harpoon will dilatch its a tricky but funny move maybe it will help keep others away...

The reverse with the help of 2 harpoons is fantastic! Would not have come to this idea on my own. Thanks a ton!

Been playing for about a week. Didn't know about the despawn when sitting touching something. Also the harpoon reverse is a nice trick. I'm sure I'll use that.
Thanks for the upload :)

No matter how many tips and tricks videos I watch I still feel like I'm always out of classed
Because the way this kind of works is that depending on who attacks you you either win or you lose if it's a new player or a person of your skill level you can probably win but if it's a person who's actually good at the game and it's kind of a sweat you might as well admit defeat as soon as you see them coming after you because they're just naturally better at the game than you and they will always win no matter how hard you try to defend yourself
