Not having financial stress is the key to youthful appearance. Other stuff like eating right, exercise, sleeping well at night derives from not having to worry about money, I am regretting not investing in stocks ever since but still grateful i kept money in the money market. With about $200k maturing soon, i plan investing in the stock market. What stocks should I look into as a newbie to safely grow my money

Appreciate choosing outfits that fit our lifestyle-too often we concentrate on "fancy" outfits we wear rarely and don't focus on what makes us our best every day.

Finally! A channel that is age appropriate and actually helpful for the mature, fashion conscious woman. Thank you!

The last guideline is the one that hits home for me. I’ve bought so many things that I really don’t have any place to wear! I need to look at my life and shop for the reality! Thank you!

Thank you for the reminder “do not TRY to look young“ .
Real wisdom in that reminder.

Hello! You always look wonderful and I love your sweet demeanor. 😊 Please continue to add alternative, lower cost options. $72 for a tank top , etc., is .... a lot. Thank you so much! ❤

Dear Kay, you are so sweet and confident! I just wanted you to know that your advice has obviously rubbed off on me when I dressed the other morning for surgery in matching cream bra-cami and golf joggers, with pink slides, flowy sweater, sunglasses and lip gloss. No makeup or jewelry allowed, yikes. I got compliments and when walking out my nurse said I didn’t look like a patient! It made me feel better (and I am feeling better) in less than the best circumstances, and I wanted to thank you for that.

This is a great roundup of your best tips, Kay! I laughed at your comment about wearing a slip. A few days ago, I went to Kohl's to look for a half slip to wear under a new maxi skirt that's a little sheer. I walked up to two saleswomen and said, "I'm looking for a half slip." The younger of the two - maybe in her 30s - looked at the older woman and said, "I don't know what that is." 😄

I love that you don’t just show us outfits, but present them as concepts that I can apply when I am shopping in my local stores.

Thank you for mentioning a slip! 💃👗 It's appalling to see every detail of a woman's silhouette through a dress. I think the older we get, the worse it is to see. And I've heard women say they don't think they need to wear a slip because something isn't see-through, but the slip helps the fabric of a skirt drape nicely even if it isn't see-through, especially if you're wearing tights in the colder months.

Totally agree with #3–I have lots of clothes, but very few whole outfits. Thank you for this video.

Such terrific advice! Thank you for saying out loud: “don’t try to look younger - it makes you look FOOLISH! “ so very true…so many attractive mature women wearing clothing appropriate for a 20 or 30 year old draw the wrong kind of attention to themselves. Thank you for your helpful pointers!

I echo so many of the positive comments others have said, but wanted to add something about creating a uniform. When I worked for a large corporation, my uniform was a suit — either skirt or pants — with a dressy blouse and sometimes a scarf. And always nice shoes. When I first retired, I found myself trending to very casual outfits for errands and informal activities— usually jeans and tees — but never feeling my best. When I found your blog and You tube Channel, I recognized that I needed to put together a new uniform that I felt good in and reflected my current lifestyle. Also, I’d filled my closet with fun pieces for nicer occasions but much of it didn’t work together. I also decided I needed to elevate my casual uniform so it reflected my best self. I’ve recently bought a few completer pieces, some nicer graphic tees and modern jeans. I tossed the tired and uncomfortable shoes. Last week, I put together some outfits and took photos of them so I don’t have to panic when I want to put together an outfit in limited time. I have more to do, but I’m laying the foundation, and want to thank you for your gracious and hopeful tips and messages. I agree with the others who said the outfit you’re wearing is lovely! ❤️

Love the last statement! I’m retired and really just watch my granddaughter and work in the garden. Want to look good, but need to remember I’m not in the working world anymore.

"Dress for the lifestyle that you really have" was a powerful statement for me. Now retired, life has changed. Time for my wardrobe to follow.

I’m almost 63 and I work part time in a women’s clothing store in Australia. I like smart casual, that’s my style but at home I dress super laidback as I’m spending a lot of time training and engaging with my German Shepherd. I always wear make up if I leaving the house and I love dressing nicely for outings, such as lunches or dinners out with my husband

Thanks for thinking how to look good in warm places. When I travel to Mexico my country is hard to be chic and classy with the warm temperatures!!! I will be waiting for the video!!!!

Great tips, Kay. I am working on dressing for my lifestyle. I am recently retired., yet I still want to stay true to my classic style. Now that I have a couple of days looking after my grandkids, I have a set of wardrobe pieces specifically for those special moments. I keep these pieces comfortable and durable. The T by Talbot's brand has helped me tremendously. Have a Happy Mother's Day.
