Are you a beginner guitar player? Learn how to play a C major open chord with this tutorial. C major can be tricky, but these step-by-step instructions make it easy to master.

So let's talk about C major. C major can be a tricky chord at first to learn. So what you're gonna do is you're gonna put your first finger on 2nd string, 1st fret. Then your 2nd finger is gonna go on the 4th string, 2nd fret. And then your 3rd finger is gonna go on the fifth string 3rd fret. And that's kind of a, that's, that's the hard part I think cause that's a little bit of a reach. In fact I have to really make my finger, really bend a little awkwardly in order to get it in there, and I don't want anything to hit the other strings. And this is it, when I strum it I'm trying to avoid the 6th string. C major.

i have mad respect for people who can play the guitar. I decided to self teach myself and am currently learning all the chords and what not. it takes me about 1 minute just to get my fingers positioned correctly just to play c major with the perfect sound. wow just wow. talk about talent.

to play C major chord, we use ( A + E + G ) notes.. but U used your index finger in C note. ( 1st fret 2nd string.)

Short fingers. Even when curling the wrist and using finger tips, can't get 3rd finger to the 5th string without muting 4th string. Using a Gretsch Jim Dandy. Thanks.

This is the most awkward thing to try to do in the world. Forget about reaching the cross to get to the third oneperiod. getting my Point your finger on to the second String without touching The first one, it's proving nearly impossible for me.
