This video is important. I broke 2 torches by improper usage. These are complicated devices that need training. Much thanks to Sask Hunting!

You ROCK! Yes, I wanted a video to show me how to fill a butane lighter that had no visible gauge. Thank you 🎉

Thanks for sharing this video, I accidentally fireballed myself a while back because I didn’t fill my torch properly.

About the most helpful advice I’ve heard on YouTube. Thanks! The purging instantly solved my problem with the Honest butane torch. 🎉

Honestly, the tip about the air pressure in there was huge. I always thought the air in there was just butane gas I hadn't considered that it was just compressed air. Now my torch lasts more than 3 crem brule dishes before the flame dwindles. Thanks!

Thank you for this video as it makes sense to why I was getting too much spillage when my torch wasn’t even near full. I didn’t make the connection that the torch had that much pressure in and that was my issue. This was very helpful.

Awesome video. It seems silly but is worth it. A grocery store clerk taught me about the fuel. I had a lot of fouling and soot from my torches. I was constantly cleaning my electronic ignition systems of carbon from the cheap butane. She showed me 9x refined butane and said it is what she uses in her cooking...no "torch flavor" and less carbon. It wasn't but a few cents more and it works! I've seen 12x and higher refined, but never tested them. The brand my store sells has adapters on the cap. I've learned not all butane torch refill ports are the same. Some take specific brands better than others because of how the port is configured. The adapters helped more than I anticipated. I use my torch for epoxy knife handle making, cooking, getting rid of weeds in the garden, quick cutting plastic, plastic welding, and more.

This video helps cause I’m a pastry chef and a chef so whenever I fill it I’m always worried it will blast the gas liquid on me so thank ya❤❤

Thank you sir. The other guides I found had me wasting butane. The key I was missing was the canister being upside down, I think. Either way, it worked this time.

When you turn the can of butane upside down, the liquid (if there is any left) will be at the bottom. When the valve opens, the "gas butane" will push the liquid butane out.
Purging the butane pressure out of the lighter is important to let the pressurized butane can fill it.

What is the differences in REFINED and how many times a butane fuel is refined? 4x 8x 11x 14x and so on?

Thanks I never use butane torch before, and it came empty and I was wondering why it was spraying kinda fizzing when I tried to fill it
