Finally someone is appreciating the ipad 10 . Everyone was mad about the apple pencil 1 problem but it's a good ipad in my opinion

I use the larger iPad Pro M1 for school. As an engineering grad student who does all of my assignments and notes on the iPad, I really appreciate the larger screen size compared to my previous iPad Air. It's much easier to fit all of the equations and calculations than before. Plus, I can watch the lecture videos at the same time that I'm taking notes in picture-in-picture because of the nice, roomy screen. Also, I really like Notability as my go-to app but to each his own. There are a lot of good notes apps.

I got an iPad Air 5th gen, a case, an Apple Pencil 2nd gen, and a paper-like screen protector for under $500 buying used form Ebay. The iPad had no scratches or scuffs, a healthy battery, and came with the original packaging. The Apple Pencil was brand new for around half the price. Super great deal! Buying used is the way to go if your worried about budget.

The landscape camera on 10th gen was the main selling point for me as a student since I have a lot of zoom meetings and the center stage feature is a great add on honestly for everyday usage like taking notes or watching netflix the 10th gen is more than enough for a student

Bought an iPad Pro 11 m2 as an international student/aspiring artist recently. I adore the device so much. So much battery, great for drawing, if I wanna use a zbrush I can just connect it to my laptop via easy canvas. Great for casual gaming when I need, great for note taking, great for portability. My second ever apple device, first being 6s

I actually have been using the ipad 9th gen for about a year now, and i can say it helped me a lot with studying (both in highschool and my first semester of college) so I would recommend it for people looking for an iPad but don't want to spend an arm and a leg. The only downside i've found so far is the battery that really doesn't last long... you have to take break every 4/5 hours because it's overheating and consumes a lot of battery. If anyone is also worried about the Apple Pencil 1st gen, I can assure you it's not that big of a deal: a full charge lasts more than a couple of days and in not much more than 10/15 mins it will be fully charged again, so in the end i wouldn't spend the extra 50 bucks for a second gen pencil (coming from someone who tried both)

Been using the iPad Air 5 for a few months. Great device for school and perfect screen size as it’s just like a notebook!

I am an engineering student and i use my ipad pro 2017 10.5 inch with Apple Pencil. So far no complaints. 120 hz display is a gem. Yes it has slowed overtime but does get the job done for me. iPadOS 17 may be the last update for this beast but hey this gem of a product has served me well and planning to get the new 13 inch air or the base 10th gen for my use cases. Great device do try once if you’re a student

My friend has iPad 10th Gen and tried using it for minutes rewriting what I remember for our quiz and it did pretty good to me.
Also, as someone who doesn’t draw, Apple Pencil USB-C might be a great option for me.

i splurged on an 11’ m2 ipad pro and i adore it! it had a 100 dollar discount and a free apple pencil during the apple for education summer deals so it felt like a bargain

if you don’t draw ie don’t need pressure on the pen, off brand with palm sensing is way cheaper the apple pencil.

For factory bought, the 10th gen iPad with a usb c pencil and maybe a 3rd party keyboard, that’s the best overall purpose and value purchase. However, if you’re in a more populated area and have the time to wait for a good deal, you should. I got a 5th gen 12.9’ iPad pro for only $575 usd on offerup and it came with an apple pencil gen 2 and an apple magic keyboard not extra cost! If that’s not a steal i don’t know what is

I just got the iPad air M2 13" for studies as a complement to my laptop that has quite a bad battery time and can get quite heavy to carry with me at all times

Big love for quoting prices in sterling 🇬🇧 and not aiming entirely at the US.

I personally love using the Apple Pencil for note taking. I also am in pilot training school, so I need a smaller iPad that needs to fit on my lap without impeding my movement in the cockpit. I went with the iPad Mini and I love it. The 10th generation iPad is very nice, especially for the cost, but the lack of support for the second generation pencil (which is so convenient to use) was a deal breaker for me.

What's the best app for reading textbooks which are in pdf formats and highlight later ? It's essentially the most important app for a student. Students usually get textbooks in PDFs.

The Logitech combo/folio touch are good cheaper alternatives to the Magic Keyboard
