Tyvokka wearing full Jedi robes makes me think clothes for Wookies were the norm, and Chewie & Gungi were just freaks.

Fun fact. Chewbacca means "brave brother." While "brave sister" would be "Aribacca" "acca" meaning brave. So "acca" is actually a title. Not sure what "Tyv" means but Tyvacca holds the title of Brave.

I wish there were more Wookiee’s like him. Having a Wookiee be a Jedi is such a rare occurrence in the Jedi order

I wonder if Tyvoka's death was heavily on Qui-Gon's mind when he first met Anakin. When Anakin makes Qui-Gon for a Jedi after seeing his "laser sword", Qui-Gon offers the possibility that he killed a Jedi and stole it from him. Anakin enthusiastically expresses his doubt and says that "no one can kill a Jedi". Qui-Gon is impressed by Anakin's perceptiveness and apparently great respect for the Jedi, but he sadly smiles and replies, "I wish that were so".

It's easy to imagine that Qui-Gon has seen many of his fellow Jedi die in battle, but fact that Tyvoka died in an attack on a Jedi delegation involving Nute Gunray and the Trade Federation probably left some wounds that were re-opened when Gunray tried to kill Qui Gon and Obi Wan on Darth Sidious' orders. Qui-Gon was one of the Jedi saved by Tyvoka's actions and bravery. He no doubt frequently felt guilt over his rocky relationship with Tyvoka prior to his death. Having just survived another attempt on his and Obi Wan's lives by the Trade Federation, the memory of Tyvoka's death was probably weighing heavily on Qui Gon's mind again. It seems likely that Tyvoka was foremost on Qui Gon's mind when he gave his somber response to Anakin's comment.

Tyvokka would have been invaluable if he was with Windu when arresting Palpatine

If what you propose were true. Wouldn't his death have been the will of the force? Him stopping Skywalker from being accepted and him sensing his darkness and fear. He would have stopped the chosen one from fulfilling the prophecy. So his death could've been the will of the force.

How did Newt Gunray get away with killing a Jedi Council member and the attempted murder of a number of other Jedi????

This was YEARS before the Clone Wars!

Unfortunate that he was unable to forsee Gunrays' betrayal.

It makes me exstremely suspecious that Darth Sidious and Plagus had a hand in his death. Just like with Qui-gon, Sidious needed him out of the way, and Mewt Gunray targeting Tywokka as the first Jedi may be a cuinsidence, but knowing they Sith, they have a hand in many things

I think the two reasons Tyvokka didn't like Qui-Gon Jinn was because he knew Dooku, and for saw Jinn's Death and all the problems that would come of it.

Considering Gunreys involvement, did Palpatiene or Plaigus have a hand in Master Taivakas death?

I hate that a lot of Star Wars has been reduced to, "This person is said to be the only one who could defeat this person!"

Since Plo Koon is in my top 3 CW Republic Jedi, I find his master to be great and want to learn even more about him! 😊😊

Was really hoping Tyvokka was going to be the Wookiee jedi in the Acolyte series. Him training with Plo Koon would be so sweet to see on screen and I am pretty sure he was a lot bigger than most other Wookiees towering over Chewbaca.

As powerful and prescient as Tyvoka sounds, it is going a little too far to say that he would have sensed the darkness in Anakin and thus prevent Anakin from joining the Jedi Order. Sensing the darkness in Anakin wasn't exactly a great feat. Pretty much all of the council members could sense it. Qui Gon was unique in his ability to commune with the Living Force and trust his insight, which told him to look past the obvious peril of training Anakin. Qui Gon was unorthodox, but the other Jedi Council members trusted his judgement enough to give Anakin a chance. Tyvoka's ability to see the future might have been among the strongest in the Order, but he also seems very dogmatic like most of the other Council members. It's difficult to imagine Tyvoka being the tipping point against allowing Anakin to be trained.

Lets take this a step further, Sidious set it all up knowing these things about the Jedi to trap and kill them

So Nute Gunray does this and Qui Gon and Kenobi just think that the Naboo Trade negotiations will be swift? Thats back writing for you.

The glaring thing I don’t like about Tyvokka lore is the fact for what it does for Plo Koon: the thought that Plo Koon was only a learner mere years before the attack on Naboo doesn’t bode well for me.. I like to think Plo is a couple hundred years old.
