Plus, it's super helpful once you're actually on your trip and you can use the Google Map to get directions and guide you on all your adventures!

I did this for the first time in 2018 when I went to Japan and it was the most easiest/convenient way to get around. Now I make sure to do it all the time traveling. Although I've never actually built out maps on google, I just save all of them on my google maps app on my phone. It harder to make day itineraries because of that, so instead I organize them out of my preference of importance. Your way is definitely a lot more structured and less chaotic.

For anyone else reading I would definitely recommend Staring key places on your map like your hotel, airport, meeting locations, etc.
