I will share travel tips with plastic baggies to use when you pack for a trip.
These tips will help you save space by using plastic bags, help you organize items in your suitcase as well as help you get ideas for things to pack in these baggies. Packing in a carry-on suitcase with strict airline requirements means space is limited so use Ziploc plastic bags. Do not use original containers to pack items. I also have travel hacks with plastic bags.
With these 10 travel tips you will maximize your space with baggies. Use these travel hacks instead of hard-shell containers that do not easily fit into pockets of space. #travelhacks #traveltips

I have used the 2 gallon bags to do small amounts of hand washing for socks and undies.

The plastic bags that sheets come in also work for clothing instead of a packing cube. The snack sized ziplocs can sometimes be found at Dollar Tree and I find that they are super handy to have around when I travel. Thanks, Laurie!

I bring an empty smaller ziploc on the plane with me for all my used wipes, tissues, and other garbage. Flight attendants really appreciate the germ-free, neatly packaged mess! A gallon sized ziploc and a package of laundry soap sheets makes it very easy to quickly wash out the day's tops, socks and unmentionables in the hotel sink every night, thus requiring less clothing to be packed. A ziploc sandwich bag in my purse at all times means I can dispose of the various wipes I use throughout the day, even if I'm not near a garbage can.

I usually write on a zip loc bag with a Sharpie. That way when I am packing for my return trip home I am less likely to forget an item. It's also great to be able to tell the difference between Lysol cleaning wipes and wipes intended for use on the skin. Thank you Laurie for your wonderful videos!

I learned to put the tv remote in a baggie, can still use it but no touching the remote. 😁🚐🙋🌺

I bought disposable shoe covers in the painting supply area (12 pair pack) at the Dollar Tree to cover the bottom of my shoes before I pack them. They work great and I can squeeze my shoes in any wear without getting my clothes dirty

I carry a quart size baggie with a moisture absorber (those little packets that come with packaged items, “dessicants”?).
If my phone gets wet, put it in the baggie and the packet will absorb the moisture.

My mom and my mother-in-law are both baggie washers - to this day! LOL Thanks to these moms for recycle/reduce/reuse before it was a thing!! LOL

For those still using Tictacs, old Tictac containers are great for containing OTC medications and/or pill/capsule supplements.
Tictac containers also make good containers for a homemade sewing kit of pre-threaded needles, extra thread wound on a piece of cardboard, and a number of safety pins. Match thread color to the color of your packed clothes.

Always fun to watch your videos, and daydream of one day traveling again! Also, you are such a nice positive person, a great break from watching too many news videos. I agree with all of your tips except as a replacement for packing cubes. When we were much younger, my husband and I traveled to Europe with large backpack style carry-on's which I packed using zip-top bags. The bags would slide all over, and end up in a pile at the bottom. Packing cubes have more structure and don't slide around as easily. Nice to see the pup!

I use sandwich size, quart & gallon size & the 2 gallon size. I always pack extra in the front pocket of my suitcase for last minute wet items from the shower or wet bathing suits from the last dip before leaving for the airport. Plus, you never know what is going to split open in your suitcase with lotion or sunscreen. They are the best!!! I use Freezer style bags & reuse them until I cannot reuse them anymore.

I agree that traveling with ziplock bags is handy-leftovers, ice packs or keeping chocolate bars! Love your top-Leo, stripes & magenta- fun!

Gosh - my only hack is to have a baggie full of assorted other size baggies in the outside of my luggage. Gallon size for wet or super-dirty clothes, quarts for pretty much everything else, but I also have assorted other sizes too. I travel with a buddy that makes her own "vitamin kits" using small 3" baggies and then as we travel she regains that "space" the longer we travel. My baggy of baggies also has a sharpie for baggie marking.

You’re absolutely right, baggies are wonderful to keep you organized. When my kids were infants I used plastic bags to keep my baby gear inside of my diaper bag sanitary from my high-touch items such as phone, loose change, wallet and keys. A set of diapers, wipes, pacifiers, burp clothes and nursing cover, burp cloths and a change of clothes each had their own gallon-sized ziplock bag.
