Checking through the browser shows no update available. Checking through Netgear support shows a download available, but when I try to open the zip file, it's corrupted. You people need to fix this. You say there's an update available, but when we check, it's not there.

can you update firmware without ethernet cable? My laptop is new and doesn't have an ethernet outlet. I'm worried something will go wrong and I'll be stuck. Please advise.

I have the R6400 and I cannot access flash video on my webcam from the public side. It works on the inside network OK. Any advice? Port
forwarding is configured properly. I don't see any firewall options on this router. FW is up to date.

Lol i just got netgear nighthawk x4s for 450$ its worse than the foxtel modem by miles, my ps4 use to run 20-30 mbs now it does 2-4 mb wouldnt suggest it for the price (even tho the range is better it doesnt perform like a 450$ modem) any hints on why its doing this ?

Is it necessary that our computer or laptop should be connected to the router via Ethernet cable while updating? And can we update this through our fone?

As of 2022/01/07 this video is up-to-date with my Nighthawk X10 R9000. I go to the Advanced tab, then the administration link, then Firmware Update link, check for updates, then click yes, to install the update. The "yes" button is at the bottom of the page.

Why can't you make it easy. Click a button and update. I am going to buy another brand of wifi modem that is not so complicated to update. Any recommendations?

After updating the R7000 router with the R7000-V1.0.0.96_1.0.15 firmware to the latest R7000-V1.0.11.106_10.2.100, I cannot log into the device.
Previously, the settings were reset to the default and the password and login were also the default admin and password.
I just set up pppoe internet access.
After the update, the internet works but you can no longer log into the router.
Is there any new default password in the new firmwae?

I have an old netgear router the wrn1000v3 and it shows as blue not orange, then I do it and then it doesnt let me update it it just doaent show yes or no or update.
I also have it at 72mbps and it barely can push out 10-13 to my console, and 30-40 on my phone please help.

Might be helpful to add first that you MUST be directly connected with an ethernet cable!

I tried a 30/30/30 reset when the regular reset wouldn't work. Didn't work either. orange light comes on. followed by the far right locked light, then they go off and all 4 port lights come on simultaneously, then go off, followed by the other four adjacent lights. router won't respond to anything. I can't log in. I can't ping it. Seems like it' trash now. I've scoured the internet with not one article talking about this.

Following the process on this video to upgrade my D6400 router does not work, as others have reported. But if you download the firmware from the netgear site, then log in to the router start page, go to advanced > administration >router update > locate and select the file >upload - that works.
