Please DJI, add the option : "hold position " in case of radio connection lost. ( same as Mavic Pro has), So we can fly proximity below trees and other obstacles nearby with the Mini without the fear it will climb to the return to home altitude and hit some obstacles we would be flying below.😉

Followed this advice to the letter numerous times. After about 60% the update fails. Device and batteries are fully charged. I then decided to update the drone and controller using DJI Assistant 2. Updates successful. However, the DJI Fly app would not stop trying to update. I spent about an hour trying to stop or abort the attempted update to no avail. In the end, I had to delete the app and re install from the app store and lost my info in the process. Could you put a "cancel update" function in your next upgrade please.

Great tutorial! Unfortunately, DJI said not possible to hard reset Mavic MINI to factory settings. The other mistake I made was downloaded the incorrect Assistant 2 for Phantom, instead of Assistant 2 for Mavic. Hope this helps someone else out there! ps-Mavic mini returned because controller was defective and couldn't hold a battery charge, took forever to charge. Latest firmware updated on both mini and controller. cheers! ~

I think the Mavic Mini is better than the new Hubsan Zino 2 but without manual exposere at videos and no Raw format I am not sure which drone to buy.

Am I to assume that updating through the fly app will do both the controller and the drone?

So you can do either DJI Fly app or DJI assistant 2 to do firmware update. Right? Also if you do the DJI Fly app, will the remote controller be update for firmware also?

Critical error (solid Red light) out of the box. FW updated (.500). Any idea @DJI Tutorials ?

atleast give a 1080p 120fps and log profile and raw for photos, with the next update, even if it's a mavic mini it's still not that cheap. so atleast give the consumer and beginner creators some update that I've mentioned. it will be a huge help too. product like this are awesome but at least give us a decent video and photo settings in the next firmware update

In the video tutorial when using the DJI Assistant 2 to upgrade the firmware in the Mavic Mini seems to me it should state if you have multiple batteries you should rerun the Assistant procedure over again to update each additional battery.
