How To Be A Grey Man. The gray man lifestyle s about blending in with your environment, not raising any red flags, not drawing attention to yourself. This tactic is used by the military, law enforcement, survivalist & preppers to not stand out when in public. It's ok to be prepared for dangerous situations but you don't always need to show your hand!

A common example is when building a bug out bag, you want to have one set of civilian clothes and one set of camouflage. So when you are bugging out & in a city or group of refugee's you can blend into your environment and when you are alone in the woods you can change and once again blend in.

Another common gray man concept example is your Every Day Cary, EDC. Let's take two examples. Man A open caries his sidearm with a belt holster on one side and has a large fix blade knife on the other side of his belt. Man B conceal carries his sidearm and also hides his knife in a boot sheath. Man A is drawing attention to himself and also showing the world his hand. He is going to stand out in a crowd. Man B blends in with the crowd and does not reveal his potential until it is absolutely necisary. Man B is living the gray man lifestyle.

I am 64 years old 5 foot 8 inches tall about 300 pounds retired state prison corrections officer and private security guard bald there are probably 30 guys in town that could be mistaken for me. I try to be as grayman as possible

no bright clothing. walk with similar Cadence of other pedestrians. In a marching band if one is out of Step it is very obvious. Short eye contact, if I need a better look look twice instead of stare. Conceal anything that looks valuable. Wear a cap to hide face quickly if needed by tilting head down. No logos or team names, no identifiers. Or If daytime sunglasses partially conceal identity.

We always put the guns in the truck/car in the garage with the door down. Same thing when we get home. As a matter of fact, we do that with just about all our trips to the store. Will your neighbors remember you unloading ten cases of water when the water goes out in the neighborhood?

Being a gray man. Bugging out in a car
1. Dont let your daily activities be predictable
2. If you bugging out of a car to rest and sleep never exit the vehicle at anytime at the lication.
3.If you need to exit your vehicle at any time its best to move to another location, then come back later.
Keep music and talking on the phone to a minimum and quiet as possible
4. Keep car clean at all times
5. Remember you are not in the car at all even if the police knocks on the door dont answer

I'm just myself every day. I don't chat about prepping. Closest I come is the EDC pocket knife (not unusual) and EDC pocket flashlight (Chinese cheapie), EDC fountain pens and EDC mechanical wind-up wristwatch (doesn't look unusual). Basically I just be my normal self. Few people I know know anything about my prepper video watching much less the few habits I've developed because of it (most of my habits already were in line with prep mentally).

But like you say. Blend in. That's how I do.

I do my best to not get attention!!! Many love to bring attention.
We live in a culture where people want to be recognized for anything. I don't believe in flashy stuff, it's better to be a conservative type individual. That's just me!!

Today people are covered in TATTOOS, Face looks like they could mine for METAL, BLUE/PURPLE HAIR - looks like a CARNEY EVENT!
