I like being a grey man all the time. I prefer not to be noticed and left alone. I find it's best way to avoid idiots and people looking for trouble

I'm 5'3". I don't really blend in but I'm often overlooked. (LOL)

Everyone talks about being a gray man in a shft scenario but from what I can gather is every gray man has a bug out bag or backpack which is going to make you stand out especially if you think you might be running across desperate people the only way to truly be a gray man it's to be tactically stealthy in my view. To be walking around with gear of any kind is to automatically draw unwanted attention

Being a gray man absolutely always depends on the environment. If I am going to a sporting event, say a Rockies game and I am wearing a collared shirt and khakis, I will stand out but if I am wearing a Rockies jersey, baseball cap and jeans, no one will ever give me a second look. The other thing to make note of is age. I am 45, if I am running around in untied high top tennis shoes, baggy shorts, a baggy shirt and ball cap, I WILL stand out no matter where I am but wearing khaki cargo shorts and a polo short, again, never a second look. It is environment and dressing as others in your similar age group would. GREAT video...

If your in NY or downtown LA, talk to yourself and scream out at the sky every 50-60 yards. No one will screw with you.

Thanks for the updated video on this subject. Always enjoy see videos digging into this subject more. There's a lot of applications for this approach but as you mentioned, not something you'd probably want to do on a daily basis unless you had a reason. I am 5'7" so I'm a little under the average height for a male but don't really have any unique characteristics that cause me to stand out. Having lived in different nations, I've found the value in this approach as standing out makes you a target. Once you get into a new country, it's so important to determine that baseline and blend in accordingly.

Love your new intro as well. Keep up the great work!

If you’re going to a college town, maybe pick up a hat or T-shirt of the local college. And backpacks are more normal around campus, as well as athletic shoes.

I'm a 6'2" Caucasian living in Japan. I'm definitely not greyman material here. Haha

I take the grey man mindset to all situations. If I go to Disney world I want to look like a prepared dad. When I go to Puerto Rico, I want to look like someone who knows how to wear a short sleeve button up shirt with chinos. When I go to Aspen, I'm wearing a snowboarding jacket. Blending in and looking like you belong somewhere is always a tactical advantage. Sticking out like a janitor and a business meeting does nothing but creates a disadvantage

I wore my black stetson to a rap concert. They said, "Hey buddy" Think you're at the wrong club. I said, " No I'm Not!..Twirled my hat and proceeded to moon walk.

I am a perfect gray man. 5'9", 185 lbs, plain shirts, shorts, no flashy watch, sunglasses, or keys. I can blend into a crowd or disappear entirely very easily. It is also about always being aware of your surroundings and always watching. I am not talking about being Navy Seal aware but you have to pay attention, all the time, in today's world. You can't let yourself become a soft target....

I remember an older book called the man in the grey flannel suit. The book's main guy wore a suit everyday and blended in.

As an older individual with white/gray bread and glasses working in an customer service in home industry I hear from co workers about the time I was at a particular location.
When inquired about how they knew it was me at the site, reply customer said the guy who looks like Santa!

I guess gray man is out for me but maybe can turn the look into a seasonal side business... jolly, large, red/white man.

Unless you live in a college town where there are a plethora of different types of individuals .
But your demeanor has immense impact on this matter at least to me .

I am 37 years old. And I am a male. And I am a disabled person. And I am on the Autism spectrum I have PDD-NOS. And I am 5'0 feet tall. And I always wear dark color clothing. With being a short height person. I notice that Tall people don't look down very often. Tall people have almost tripped over me because they are not looking down a whole lot. So I am the perfect gray man.

I would be a perfect gray man! My family always said when I was growing up " You don't even know he's in the house" Y'all can't see me.

I am a natural gray man when walking outside, except when someone looks into my eyes and they will notice that they are alert and almost always ready for any fight.
