I’ve had some pretty good experience with the Govee strips, the only problems if you’re considering them is that the color quality is a little shotty and the more expensive strips that have the more customizable lighting zones aren’t that customizable so if you want a very clean, looking animation to run on your LED strips. You have to get the Phillips ones.

I got one of those cheap ones, has great color, great brightness, and a lot of modes. It even came with a second one I didn’t need, that I’ve kept as a spare. It has worked flawlessly for 2 years being used for hours daily 🤣

Y’all, I got the 10 dollar one, it’s not awful, the adhesive is strong, it comes with all colors stated, it has a controllable brightness, and, it is 100 feet, be aware, measure ur room first, I made the mistake and bought to much, but still, amazing deal.

I have the first one… and it’s actually pretty good, adhesive sticks, large range of settings and colors, I don’t use the app tho, remote is perfectly fine. And no with flames 3 months of continuous use

Heat output on an LED strip is only a problem if you make it be a problem. If small LEDs or any of the little components on the strip are hot enough to cause a fire, then there's not enough air passing by it. The only ways that this can happen are the worst build quality ever or you've put it between your couch cushions in south Texas during the summer with no AC.

The Govee ones are actually really solid. I’ve had some in my room for a long ass time and the adhesive has held up great, they’re bright, the color is vivid, and the app actually kind of works

I've had my Govee lightbulb in my lamp on almost 24/7 going on like 3 years now. Still works great. I like their stuff a lot.

Using WS2812b with an esp8266 is the cheapest (and if you spend some time programming) the best option in my opinion

I’m using some 10-20 dollar cheap strips, and instead of catching on fire, they just work perfectly fine.

I bought some off amazon for like 15 bucks i think and theyve been up for 4 years and they still work perfectly fine .

Ive had kzispe for a while and never had over heating or blown lights and you can get 100 feet for 15 bucks its the most underrated led strips ever

mine were extremely cheap from walmart, and it’s been under my table for about a year and a half now… no issues.
