What are your favorite light strips? I’d love to try out more and feed the addiction…

Great video but a few things to consider for next time. 1) Cut interval 2) LED Spacing/Hotspot. 3) How easy to add extensions or space out pieces of strip like down each side of the inside of a cabinet with a concealed wire connecting them. 4) Maximum length after BTW a chart at the end comparing them would be great also.

Would you ever consider compiling all the data in a table at the end of the video?

I guess I am just in time for new video, found your channel today and already got a lot of inspiration for my own smart home projects.

Be aware that the Kasa sub-brand is being withdrawn and a new TP-Link sub-brand (Tapo) is taking its place. As often happens, the replacement is worse. Kasa has already gone from the UK and most of Europe (any stock is discontinued) but I recall reading it'll be a bit longer until it's finished in the USA as there's a lot of old stock to get rid of. The app is going too and will be migrated to the new Tapo app. My Kasa Energy Monitor Switch has already lost 'cloud function' here in the UK so can only be operated by things on the same network. 😔

Another great video! I’d love to see content on how you manage cables in these scenarios and, for instance, where you’re pulling power from to install under kitchen cabinet lights.

I can't hear someone say, "Home Assistant" without hearing Paul Hibbert's, "HOME ASSISTANT HOOOOME ASISTANT!" *cue thrusting*

Perfect timing I’m in the market for some and I almost ordered some the other day but wanted to wait and now I’m glad I did

So helpful man. Thank you. I love the Kasa and I believe the Philips hue will be a great choice. The dust under the tv cabinet was hilarious I was thrown off. I would have said the same thing haha.

Great review on all those light strips. Had no idea about the dedicated white led for strips. As always the ending to your videos is hilarious

This is Matt from Govee. Appreciated watching the review. Thanks for including the Govees, and hope you found a fun way to use the Neon. Cheers.

I think one thing to call out between the RGBIC options of Wyze and Govee is that the Wyze Pro seem to be able to alternate colors at the individual diode level, whereas Govee splits the strips into segments (groups of diodes). Subjectively, I like the effects this can produce in the Wyze option.

I saw a note on the TP-Link/Kasa integration for home assistant that the company is dropping the local API. Doesn't appear to affect the lights just yet but if one is going the others will as well.

Great updates! I just needed something cheap but good so I sticked with the Wyze light strips. Basic, but they do the trick. Always love your end scenes haha

You put me on to Govee a couple years back and I’m sticking with them!! I love there stuff. Not saying you’re wrong, but I feel super bias to my Govee. Team Govee for me. 😅

I've been using some Govee RGB and some normal old Daybetter RGB strips. They are the best for the money.

I use a Shelly RGBW2, wrgb strip and Home Assistant. Amazing results. Great vid!

For compatibility issues (with non-addressable LEDs), if they connect using wires, then a compatible controller can be used, unless you just enjoy having dozens of different button controllers and dozens of apps
