I think the issue with the statues is not necessarily the statues themselves but the fact that they are often on legislative property. Put them in a museum or somewhere that is specifically designated for history. Dont get rid of them. Personally I dont really care where the statues are either way.

I fail to see how pointing out wrongs will make anything right.

"Not a genocidal maniac, not out to kill these people." One sentence about the truth of Columbus. You made an entire video called "The Truth about Christopher Columbus." and there was one single sentence about the truth about Christopher Columbus.

Very good coverage. I agree, he was a much better explorer the governor. Guess he should've met the nomadic tribes of the Great Plains.

Sorry guys your video missed the point entirely. The real "truth" about Christopher Columbus is that he was a brave explorer and is where his legacy should end. Notwithstanding slavery, small pox, sexual exploitation's, mutilations, etc., there is nothing about his journey that should be celebrated in the US, or anywhere else in the world. The real "truth" is that the indigenous people ("Indians') of the western hemisphere were well established thousands of years before the Spanish and British invasions (Manifest Destiny). Therefore, we should do what's right and replace Columbus Day with Indigenous People of the Western Hemisphere (IPWH) Day. While we're at it, we should thank the IPHW for being such good shepherds of the land for us to prosper from and apologize while we true "Americans" mutilate this land in 200-300 years.
Regarding the statues of famous (or infamous) people in US history, It depends on who you ask.
