Merci for posting this. Rory Gallagher loved playing his songs and helped raise recognition for him. Too bad it had to be after he was gone.

I been listening to this whole album at least once a day since it posted. Even though I've known of Leadbelly for many, many years, this is the first time I've actually listened to the man himself- and man am I glad I finally got around to it!

Leadbelly has 2 be one of the most unique of all players because he has a really broad repetoire..folk stories..kids songs blues field hollers..He is probably the best of teacher of the African American experience around
