Spring Roll | Summer Roll | Vietnamese Gỏi cuốn
Summer Rolls; Spring Rolls are so delicious and addicting. Whenever you left overs, you can always roll it a Rice Paper. Pair it up with whatever Sauce you have at home. Can’t go wrong!
Recipe:
Lettuce 🥬
Cilantros
Pork (Cook/Thinly Sliced)
Peanut Butter
Garlic
Mint Leaves
Vegatable Oil
Chives (optional)
Peanut 🥜 (crushed)
Sirarcha or Sambal
Sugar
Vinegar
Cucumber 🥒 (sliced thinly or julienne)
Shrimp 🦐 (deveined/sliced in half).
Vermicelli Rice Noodle (follow cooking instructions on packaging).
Rice Paper (Can be found at almost all Supermarkets).
Peanut Sauce
On high heat add oil to pan, add in your desired amount of minced garlic. Stir until fragrant then add (Stir & Combine well )👇🏻
1/4 of a Cup of Hoisin Sauce
1/4 of a Cup of Peanut Butter
2 Tbs of Sriracha (up to your spice tolerances)
1 Tbs of Rice Vinegar
Crushed Peanuts (optional) 🥜
Sugar to taste!
* I used reserved Pork Broth from the Pork that I cooked for the Spring Roll. This is optional but will add a layer of Flavor. You can do this with the Shrimp 🦐 Head On Shells too. Or even Chicken Broth. Adjust to taste! If you do.
Instructions 📝
1. Soak your Rice Paper in a Bowl with Water as shown in video (5-7 Seconds)
- Shake off excess water
2. Lay Rice Paper Flat on Cooking Surface.
3. Add in your Protien, Veggies, and Herbs as shown in video.
- Tuck in and shape as you Roll towards the Top. Take the bottom end, flap it over the fillings, flap in the left and right corner.
- Will look like an envelope ✉️ at this point. Shape and tuck everything in tight. Roll all the way up. Whatever you put on the 3 or 4 roll will be visible.
4. Cut in half or eat it by itself. Dip this in the Dipping Sauce. Enjoy!
