I can't thank the people on the Kosmicmi site enough. I am 62 yrs of age and trying to learn what to buy- or what i can afford- and more importantly how to use the equipment for home recording guitar and vocals. This site provide the most straight- forward and honest information i have seen and heard on youtube. Even a tech dinosaur like myself, is able to understand a great deal of advice this site gives. Please carry on with this great informative site. dave v.

Finally someone who knows what they are talking about explains the differences of all the main DAWs and shows you the interface and pros and cons of each! Still relevant in 2016! Although Logic looks a bit different now. Thank you!

been using fl studio since i was 11, i'm currently 20, i haven't found a need to switch from it, once you understand whatever software you use, there will honestly be no need to change.

Currently I'm using FL Studio and i really like it, it's very intuitive and it offers all functions you need. I also tried out Cubase and Logic but I just don't like the workflow, they just don't feel as "open" as FL Studio, the whole design is more like a Lounge which I personally don't like.

Wow!  Excellent or overview for someone looking to by their first DAW.  Straight and to the point, very objective comparison of the most popular DAWs with an emphasis on what the primary use case will be.  Thanks a lot!!

Great run down.  And you are perhaps the best speaker I've listened to for months.  That delivery was flawless.  Really... a pleasure listening.

I feel like FL Studio was under-acknowledged. It can do literally everything without making any of it look like a big deal

Thank you so much for making this video, as a beginner musician looking at which DAW to buy, this was very useful Would be awesome if you could do an update on the current state of DAWs though :)

I realize that this is an old review, but I wanted to commend you on how professional your presentation was. Very balanced and non-biased product comparison of DAW's, btw. Well done!

I started in FL Studio, then I went to Ableton. Afterwards, I went to Bitwig and then I feel ultimately in love with the effects, recordings, mastering tools, and the interface of Studio One (haven't looked back yet)

Awesome information man! But still don't see anything tempting me away from Reason, once you've used that interface there's no going back. One fix for newer viewers: Reason is now expandable with the RE format. It's not as big a collection as programs that support VSTs, but you're no longer confined to what's in the box.

DAW wars are long gone. The DAWs i work in is FL Studio and Reason. The two can be connected with ReWire so you can utilize the power of beat making of Reason with ease of use and VST plugin support of FL Studio.
But when i show FL Studio to friends who work in Cubase or Ableton they do not know what to do.
So choosing a DAW is like choosing PC or Laptop setups. Or a car☺
