Responding To Your Christian HOT TAKES

A little while ago, I asked you guys to send in your "Christian Hot Takes," and in today's video, I will be responding to them and sharing my opinion on them and what the Bible says about some of these things! I hope you guys enjoy this video!

I believe that church is a great place to be. It's very important to find your best family with them, but I also don't think that we HAVE to be there constantly. As long as you take time to be in the word, and gather together with other believers (whether in a church building or not), you have found the church. The church is simply us believers, wherever we are. I don't go to church often (mostly because I'm a kid and can't drive) but when I do go I love it. It's been hard to find a good church. My family has bounced around so much, I have a hard time assigning any one church as "my church". My church is with my family, and that's good enough for me.

Unpopular opinion we’re lukewarm here in America when we get antsy about a 1 hour sermon but people across the world from us spend 3 days or maybe more in a service hidden from their own government. Where the underground church in China is willing to remember any chapter of the Bible and willing to go to even jail for reading the Bible and being a Christian. While us here in America can’t even pray for 15 minutes for our food, let alone anything else. It’s a sad shame when we have access to so much freedoms here in America but choose to be distracted by so many things and refuse to give God our time and focus.

17:00 I absolutely agree. In eight grade I only listened to worship music. This past year in ninth grade, I tried listening to mainstream rap, and right away conviction hit hard & I felt bad listening to it. Listening to secular music isn't bad unless it goes against God and has a lot of negativity.

What you said about hurt people hurting people; part of that is true. The other part is also true.There are some people who say and do things without remorse because they genuinely don't believe it's wrong. It doesn't have to be upbringing. It can be a one-time experience that can change everything about their lives.

Oh my goodness the explicit music part is so real! I personally felt so convicted when I used to listen to songs with cursing or sinful lyrics. I heard everyone say that Christians should ONLY listen to worship music, and I love worship music but sometimes I still really enjoy listening to songs that aren't particularly worship, but that are clean and pure still. I couldn't agree with you more!

I love all the verses Jacob pointed out their so spot on with what he's saying and it's awsome that with everything he is saying he has verses to back up what he's saying so it's like he's showing us why he thinks those things.

This is my personal take on secular music. Agree or disagree. A lot of the music I listen to is half gospel half secular. My exception to secular music is if it shares a positive story or message. That's at least part of it for me.

The biggest problem is I think it's bs that we christians "cant listen to Taylor Swift." 🙄 Other than that I almost 100 percent agree with these. I also don't agree with people getting married to have sex and I think it's crazy that people force people into getting married because they slipped up and got pregnant.

12:00 the Bible specifically says that those with little self control should be allowed to marry young (1 Cor 7:9)

But encouraged? That might be a different story
