Difficult to get a perfect sound reading in a “ regular “ room but you guys are doing your best to get some real world information out-👍👍 ABT!

I'm running the Mathews branded Axcel fixed 5-pin sight on my V3X 29 and it's held up perfectly through a horse pack in backcountry Nevada mule deer trip, Idaho deer trip (where I took a tumble packing out my buddy's elk and slammed my bow in the rocks), and a Kansas whitetail deer trip. I just put the Black Gold Pro FX fixed 5-pin sight on my Mathews Phase 4 29 and like it so far. I was a Hoyt guy for 20 years and loved how bullet proof their bows were. But I changed to Mathews because the draw cycle was easier on my shoulders. For those 20 years I ran nothing but Spot Hogg sights, and yes, you are right, they are hella bullet proof. ABT!

Honestly I can’t we a big enough difference to make the swap. There’s deff a little difference but it’s minimal. I would deff try isolating as others have pointed out. Maybe take window sashes out on a minimal or not wind day. Love the content guys! Your my go to channel for tinkering and general entertainment 😂 keep

The Dialed sight has been through some hell with in the whitetail woods and chasing some early season mule deer and antelope and has stayed rock solid and right on target. Definitely will be a solid sight in the future.

Absolutely loving my phase 4 29. But I opted to not get the bridgelock stabilizers personally. I got trophy ridge hitmans for now.

I'm still going to wait before jumping on the ph4 train. Those rubber dampers between the limbs have me concerned when it comes to wear and tear, durability and lifespan. I know you guys say that you'll put it through its paces and what not, but that will only be until next year when the next new thing comes out. That, in my opinion, is not a true test of durability or lifespan of a product. The average Joe is not dropping a few grand on a new bow every year, for most it will be at least 3-5 years if not more before getting something new.

Great video, how much of the noise do you think is from the arrow impacting the target?
I believe that you may get more definitive results from shooting into a target that is outside or in a different room.

So last years boat anchor shoots 7 fps faster than the new new. Thanks for sharing. Id like to see y'all tell the carrying weight of the v3x with the quiver loaded ready to hunt lol...

Great video guys! Do you think there is a difference in sound between the 33 and 29 phase 4?

Haha I don’t blame u for running front bar only would need to mortgage your house for two of them lol although they are sick looking maybe someone will come out with aftermarket ones that would be great !

I’m shooting the V3X 29 this year And I love it.
The phase 4 does not have enough improvements for me to upgrade this year. Let’s see what they come out with next year.
It’s a shame MATHEWS always comes out with their new bow in the middle of the season. You start the season off with a brand new bow and you end it with a bow that’s last year’s model. Why can’t they come out with new bows every spring so we can buy them and get them all tuned up before the season starts. It kills me every year when my brand new Mathews bow Becomes obsolete before the season is over.
Lame!

New Sub. Thanks for the comparison! I am looking at these two bows to replace my Z7, which is basically new, as I am getting back into archery. Although I would love to go hunting, it is very hard to find a place around here that isn't already established with prior hunter permissions. So my main focus will be using it for 3D league and possibly TAC as events come to my area.

Any thoughts on which you may prefer for my intended use? Both seam to be a great option, and will have to see if I can shoot in lefthanded model prior to final determination.

Just wondering if there’s a way you can shoot out the door or a window into a target outside so the meters just pick up the bow sound?

Love my Mathews bows, been looking hard at the Phase 4. Wondering if the decibel reduction is worth the reduction in FPS? shot my last 3 elk within 20 yards and they had no reaction to the string, for whitetail/mule deer guys i definitely agree that being quiet on the shot matters a lot more because they really duck. But FPS seems more important to me on elk than being silent. Also I'm all for dropping weight on my pack when your a few days into the hunt it matters but should we cut weight on something else other then our bow? heard MFJJ talking about a heavier bow being more stable and accurate on the shot... Love to hear your thoughts, thanks for the great content !!

I honestly can't tell the difference. On camera and in person. Honestly I'm over companies chasing the hand shock fairy. My question is, can it shoot? If the Mathews shoots well for you, great! I chose the elite Omnia

I’ve been dying to know what wraps you use on a 4mm arrow!
