I have pre-ordered the g5 77inch, it's the most I have ever spent on a TV but feel that it is worth it based on the Dolby vision, 4 hdmi 2.1 ports to which I use all of them, and the increase to 165hz. I am coming from an lg c2 55inch so I am hoping it will be quite a jump. The fact that you have ordered the g5 with your own money puts my mind at ease. Great content btw.

happy for you Brian enjoy it! I can tell you are a true gamer and understand the tech. I almost question credibility when people dont mention PC gaming with how expensive these tv's are. Its only natural that hardcore pc gamers would be a relevant market share.

All Apple tv content marked Dolby Vision supports and defaults automaticly to HDR10+ if you have a Samsung. I can confirm this as i have apple tv 4k through a Samsung S90c and collect digital movies on apple tv.

I own an 83G4, pretty good deal actually, below 3k. However, if LG got rid of that grayish look panel finish and glossy black is back, I will surely upgrade to 83G5. The G4 series are amazing at night, but pure black perception is gone during day time viewing.
