The often overlooked (due to originally being an LG store online only model in the US) LG B1 imho is the TV to go for, especially at 65inch. It's a few hundred cheaper than the C1 with very minor differences now due to the firmware updates. It's great for films & games, superb black levels even in my living room during the day, and due to "black Friday" deals it's now only £1, 499. After just coming up to 2 weeks of use now: paired to the Samsung HW-Q800A Dolby Atmos up firing Soundbar (with wireless Sub & rear speakers) I find it this set up to be the best I've owned, providing an incredible gaming & cinema experience!

Bought LG C9 OLED 2 years ago and I use it for PC gaming. 4k, 120 Hz, HDR, G-sync, VRR... you name it, its there. Never had any troubles with burn-in even though it runs as a desktop 6-10 hours a day. I guess newer gens of this TV are even better, would recommend 100%

Thanks for the video, I don't have a smart TV, but forced to purchase one soon because my Sanyo that I purchased back in 2003 finally crapped out. Was wanting to purchase another Sanyo TV, although I heard Panasonic bought them out.

Trying to learn about the differences between the new TV's and your video helped. Thanks for the information.

Using an 8 year old Panasonic plasma VT50, but upgrading to a Panasonic JZ1500 OLED soon in 65“. And you are right, prices are attractive at the moment. It’s for a basement / movie room so not overly concerned about max brightness.

I have a LG 55NANO919PA TV and absolutely love it. Its has 4k 120hz and is an amazing panel for the price. One thing to bare in mind, is 120hz 4k is only supported by a couple of games currently

I've had several soundbars and a surround sound package but it was only when I purchased an budget AVR and a pair of budget stereo speakers that I realised what I had been missing (stereo imaging, thumping base) besides going down this route one can always add to it overtime! subwoofer, surround speakers you could even get height speakers to get the full 'non-virtual' Dolby Atmos experience. Nowadays AVRs are so simple to setup, they even walk you through the process!

That is why I am here to find out what you would pick. Looking for long lasting! I heard you say LGC-1? I like to know what to buy between LG c2 or g2 or Sony A80K?

Everybody has different wants and needs for a TV. I only play games on a PC, so not interested in console options and I'm also light-sensitive and so would not want the very brightest screen. I'm happy if it has a good picture with great blacks and is a size suitable for the room. Though the ability to stream various content is a must these days as basic broadcast television is decidedly crap and repetitive. Helpful tips anyway, so thanks Tom.

I have a 3 year old TCL 65R625. Paid $799 US dollars. It's quantum dot screen is made by Samsung I've heard. Supports Dolby vision and HDR 10 as well as HLG etc. Besides some blooming around the HDR logo that appears for a very short time. This TV is great! My dad also bought one

Picked up the new 4k 144hz Gigabyte M32U to use as my new main gaming monitor/ps5 monitor. Needed to replace my 2k 270hz Acer Nitro XV272U Xbmiipruzx. I absolutely love both of them, the 4k panel taxes my 5800x/6800xt but man is it pretty.
For my TV i am actually trying to decide if i should pick up the Hisense u7g or u8g. I prefer buying 55" screens but i think i may move up to the 65" models simply because of the huge increase in dimming areas (or wtf its called).

Audio wise for casual gaming i am running the Panasonic SoundSlayer soundbar. Its a surprisingly a fantastic little unit with Dolby Atmos and other premium features and its getting some sick price promotions. I got mine for $190(ish) from amazon a few months back down from a $300 msrp (still not a bad price).
Then for more "critcical listening" I run the new Mayflower Arc Mini and Sennheiser 58X's.

Great guide! For me TV is all about making the living space enjoyable. I create art screensavers for TVs so anyone can turn their TV into art display. It is a nice way to decorate any room with a TV :)

Cool video. I've already gotten myself an early Black Friday deal. I've purchased myself an LG G1 65inch, for a cool price of £2099. I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Hopefully everyone will be happy with their TV, no matter what you end up buying. 👍🏼

It's interesting that "Filmmaker" mode is mentioned in reference to the original vision of the creator(s). The LG being shown on the screen during that bit supports Dolby Vison. However, there is no Filmmaker mode on LG OLEDs for Dolby Vision content.

So, what does that mean? It means that if you do end up getting an LG OLED, absolutely make sure you go through the settings so you can get the most from your TV.

Currently using a 65" CX that I bought in about June since I got $500 off compared to the C1 and the differences weren't enough for me to pay the extra $. I wish I could have afforded the G1 for the better brightness but the CX will get me through the next few years at least until I get whatever the latest is and then move the CX to the bedroom where I have a Hisense U6G which is a great TV for the price.

I Have a huge dilemma between the PHILIPS PML9506 75" and the TCL C728 75". Which do you think is best overall? I heard that the TCL has a bit of a downside to the angle-viewing which in my case is very important due to the placing of the tv. Any suggestions between the 2?
