there's a weird psychology I can see building up until the last part. OP getting blamed for the first husband then tested with the second feels like Sister being deep in the 'I don't make bad choices' camp. she doesn't want to accept she fucked up, so it HAS to be OP's fault.

My sister was a tester, I was the only sibling she tested. She was always - not pleasantly - surprised whenever I 'passed' a test. The times I 'didn't do well' she would show how much I disappointed her and make me feel guilty because she was disappointed.

Hurt and angry and going NC is the right response. Shame on the mother for lying and setting OP up like this. OP owes no apology for anything other than regretting she did not know the X was a psycho when she introducer him to her. Nothing that happened was OP's fault. After update: I'm glad OP had the support of her boyfriend when confronting those who are so crazy, deluded and disrespectful. It's good OP's father was not ok with what the other's did. It is the right thing to cut off those who thought doing this was acceptable. I hope things go well with the boyfriend's family.
After next update: It's good OP's mom apologized, I hope it was sincere. It's nice she has gotten closer to her father and brother, and that she was well received by her partner's parents.
After final update: OMG, it is so disgusting that sister spread lies and OP's mother went along with this. It's good OP has cut off her mother and sister. It is a shame this has spoiled what OP expected to be a happy wedding celebration. It's good she can go forward without these toxic relatives in her life. I wish her well, but I'm sure she is on the right path.

let's hope the brother and father are capable of leaving that evil mother and sister. they're the only ones in op's family that support her, and i can see just those 2 being there for op in her lower moments as support from her birth family, as long as what the brother and dad are saying is true and they knew jack about this smear-campaign.

I can't find them", than presses charges on your creep of an ex plus a restraining order you still think she would go after your own husband? Really?
