My sister tried to destroy my marriage. She was envious of me all the time. She would always make passive aggressive remarks to me and after I graduated and started work at a hospital she was so jealous that she applied for a nurse position in a nursing home and actually got the job. She bragged to my parents about how much more she made than me and acted like she was better. She was fired shortly after when they discovered she wasn’t certified as a nurse and in fact had never gone to nursing school in her life. Some people are very mentally ill. What Minnie did at the baby shower is a type of irrational, reactionary behavior that I call "not thinking about what happens five minutes prior to or past taking a piss". Absolutely no concept of forethought.

Minnie was so hyperfixated on the very idea of upsetting OP that she didn't stop to think how everyone else would react, how her lies could easily be disproven and she obviously didn't think about how Larry, her now EX-husband, would respond. And look where it all got her. I was surprised that she made no further move to harrass OP and her family, though. I guess the last-minute self-preservation took over entirely and prompted Minnie's city move. It was the only smart thing she did.

Minnie's husband should've pressed charges like DV is no joke, physical harm gradually escalates into fatal outcomes. The fact that she's this bold in public... there needs to be a paper trail, she comes off as very narcissistic and when someone like that has a meltdown, she might hurt somebody
