I've been wanting to do this video for AGES and finally, we had an hour to do it! Here are 10 ways to improve your portrait photography skills on location (especially woodlands!) by just altering how you use the natural environment and the spots you find.

Please note, all the shooting was done on a 70-200 2.8 GM lens at or around f2.8.

00:51 1. Not have things coming out of heads

OMG, this dog literally understands exactly what you want. Absolutely amazing model. Even holding the ears permanently in correct position. If only all animals would cooperate like he. Even taking the right paw down on command, then “hide, hide” and posing perfectly cute 🥰 Awesome 🤩

This is the first dog I’ve ever seen that knows how to pose. He does a better job than most people do lol. Great video beautiful photos.

Another great vid!
On the second to last shot with the dog with his face and paws on the log, I love that you didn't settle for the first pose (which I am pretty sure I would have done) and went for the second at an angle. I will remember that tip the most!

I didn’t know this method...I used to remove chromatic aberration with the hue/saturation tool, selecting the colour to remove, desaturating, then inverting the mask, then painting in white where chromatic aberration could be seen....Woah your method is much easier and quicker...I will use it sure! Thank you very much indeed 🙂
