Let me give you some perspective when it comes to imposter syndrome. I am now a senior developer for my company and even now still feel like a Jr. Developer. Why? Because I’m always learning. After mentally blocking myself into thinking I’m just a beginner for years I finally realized being a Sen developer is about being able to execute on a project and give my customers the products they need. All the information for the code is available to you online. Learn and create based off the need to nerd basis. That’s it. We are often our own biggest critics which can hold you back tremendously in this field. Allow time to do its job and learn a little everyday. And remove the term Jr. or Sen. From your mind. If you are here and you can solve a problem with code(even if it’s a todo list). You are simply a developer. Welcome to the family.

You need to learn how to drive a regular car (the basics) before even dreaming of getting behind the weehl of a sports/race car (frameworks)

Hey Uncle Stef! I decided to apply to study for a degree in computer science in the UK because the course only costs 2.5k per year, and the government is giving 6k away as grants. Meaning I can pay the course fees off the next year, and have an extra 3.5k for my FU money fund per year on top of my job! All while getting a qualification to allow me to code :)

Hey uncle Stef, there's a huge difference in freelance earnings between western countries and say.. middle eastern and African countries, can you please make a video about how someone's location might affect how much they get paid as a freelancer or a remote developer.. and how to better negotiate if you're in this position 🙏

Keeping this message in mind- my question has to do with your course. In terms of your course- how long are people on your course before getting first paid project? Or is it generally recommended that your course be finished before getting first job. Thank you- Love your channel!!!

Learned the basics from instructors, then learned half-again-as-much from trial and error.

Ok but everyone must first learn Ruby before applying for a job.

Some says html, css, ...should get you job faster.. Others says Python for better understanding concepts of programming.. I started to learn python a few weeks ago, and now I've watched this video. Have to quit watching videos on youtube, it's bad for my decisions. Just kidding🙂. This channel is very helpfull, apreciete your work.
