spamming rockets doesn't allow you to have momentum with the elytra and this means you won't have accelleration.
it would have been faster if you used your rocket once to have an initial momentum and then letting yourself fall down with the accelleration

You could launch an ender pearl with TNT. Build limit to bedrock in 0.1 seconds if you time it right.

15 blocks a tick would have you down in under two seconds. But that assumes you don’t do things like zero tick repeaters.

Missing the water stream on a jump always seems to be the fastest way down for me, I wish a water pool would magically appear out of nowhere though! If I aim for a small pool of water, I'm almost certainly guaranteed to find the edge of the solid block instead! 🤣😊👍

way elytra works is that fireworks dont increase your speed, they just set your speed to a spesific speed, and you cant fly faster than that while a firework rocket is in effect
