Even when the doors aren't closed, the game is like "No, Gregory can't leave at all." and creates a invisible forcefield to stop Gregory.

This is even more terrifying. Imagine escaping only to learn you're in a simulation...and there is no escape.

If this was an actual scenario:

Gregory slips past the closing doors and makes it out of the building. Breathing a sigh of relief, he talks into his faz watch. "Freddy! I did it! I got out just in time!" The message from Freddy comes out slightly distorted. "Excellent news! Way to go, Gregory! Unfortunately, without a service connection, the fazwatch may not work too well or sound a bit glitched. Not to worry though! Once you go home, all you need to do is connect it to the wifi and you and me can have more conversations if you wish!"

"It's best you head home now, I'm sure your family is worried sick about you...! Make sure to stay safe, alright? Who knows what lurks around at the dead of night..."

"Nevertheless, I'm sure you'll make it back home safely! I believe that a strong and independent child as yourself can do this! When you come back, come meet me in my dressing room! I'll have a present waiting for you."

"Have a goodnight, Superstar!"




[Edit: Istg, I KNOW THAT GREGORY IS HOMELESS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. It's just that Freddy is never told that, MAKING HIM ASSUME that Gregory can just go to his 'home' after he gets out.]

The fact that Gregory missing his chance to escape (besides giving him layers of traumatic experiences) actually got him close to Freddy and gave him a chance to make major changes to the place is actually amazing.

Honestly I think the game should let Gregory leave if he makes it to the doors quick enough. It would likely just trigger the bad ending like when Gregory tries to leave normally, or maybe since you left so early Gregory has more time to find a place to sleep or even find a homeless shelter where Vanny can't reach him
