I like them both, they make great points. Jordan had alot to deal with publicly that might have swayed him abit. But both are intelligent men who care about humanity. It is the truth alot of men are hurting because of the socioeconomic changes but lack of sociocultural change to match it. As a result, women, men and children are hurting. Pointing fingers at each other does not help anyone or hating on each other.

Psychiatrist. Extensive professional experience with very hard cases. Has done a lot of hard work, and unpaid work.

Has done the work himself. Has a healthy, happy marriage with healthy happy children.

Explored psychedelic medication after getting a script for Depression meds because he didn't want any side effects of the meds.

Jordan Peterson : Basic psych degree. Started with an undergrad in political science and then psych. Then a postgrad in psych. Went straight from study to academia with zero life experience. Only clients were in a sanitised environment who could pay him. Married the first woman he could get. Parents : teacher and librarian.

Wife, frumpy, always looks unhappy, he doesn't acknowledge her existence when she walks into a room off camera. Daughter has two failed marriages and a Baby Daddy before age 35. Both have extensive physical and mental health issues. He and his daughter have been unable to eat anything but meat for years due to their extensive health issues.

Went straight from a Benzodiapene addiction to a state where he could eat nothing but meat. No identification of the addiction before it got out of control. No understanding or acknowledgement of underlying health issues that remain.

Hmmm. Which mental health professional would I listen to?

Very curious to know why Peterson and Mate have not had a public discussion or debate. I’m not as familiar with Mate yet so I can’t really speak to his character but I would be completely shocked if Peterson declined. So why hasn’t it happened?

And I will say this though (up until this clip) Mate seemed very wise and fair to me his characterization of Peterson with his anger and his battles with Marxism and feminism as opposed to Christianity - well…. At the present moment Christianity is not the threat! Christianity at the moment is not indoctrinating young people with lies to blame innocent people.

And as for Peterson’s anger well if you look at his old lectures he was pretty mild. But he sees the writing on the wall and he knows where this is going and so why wouldn’t he be angry.

This is really disappointing to hear. I hope to see these guys debate.

Some interesting points. But I've listened to a LOT of Jordan Peterson and he is definitely not "choking with rage"

Jordan isn’t choking with rage, if anything he’s “choking” with a profound sense of meaning. The man sees more meaning in the world than probably anyone else. That’s a heavy weight to bear, hence his characteristic demeanour and way of communicating. I think it’s an incorrect and unthoughtful analysis from Gabor.

Jordan offers help. And it works. It’s backed by science and evidence and well thought out well-meaning concepts. I’d love to hear is rebuttal on this because they’re both on the same team as we all should be.

Yes indeed, “ his voice is choking with rage”. Jordan Peterson is very hateful person. He is the one who said the infamous hate speech “ finish them” about 2.5 million innocent, defenseless people living in “open air concentration camp”. He wanted all 2.5 million people living in Gaza to be finished. And that’s his own words. How can someone trust their traumas and mental health with such heartless person. I wouldn’t.

Jordan Peterson is a very good speaker, but the way he dwells with religion is so wrong. He never had a clear answer if he’s a religious man or not, but he doesn’t want to kick the whole country against its leg. So he’s tactically vage about this point, and with that he lost his credibility.

I've stopped for a while to be a Jordan Peterson fan. But this dude feels to have so much rage in him when he talks about Dr. Peterson's rage. 😅😅😅

And this idea that destroying the matriarchy was so the colonists could defeat the natives as matriarchy has something special in it... To me it says that he has some mommy issues. It is very interesting that Dr. Peterson never said that patriarchy is good and matriarchy is bad. He says that our society does its best with what it has.


So as annoying as I am by some things Dr. Peterson says or does, he still feels to be in a more balanced place than Dr. Mate.

Wow, Gabor uses so much psychobabble and leftist talking points it's hard to find an actual piece of advice. "Men are miserable because productive, well-paying jobs were taken away." What jobs, exactly? Does this guy talk to actual people, or just academics and people who nod and agree with him? It is also painfully clear he has NEVER really listened to Jordan Peterson. (Peterson does not encourage men to be rageful, or to give in to anger... quite the opposite, actually.) Gabor makes this bizarre assertion about Peterson being "dominated by the left brain" and that Peterson is "desperately afraid of the right side of the brain" and that he "lacks that balance" before jumping into some nonsense about "British colonialists destroying the matriarchy of the indigenous culture." He follows up with more woke buzzwords, including patriarchy, power, indigenous culture, "men of a certain color", and that most men are a victim of this "culture" and are not aware of it. Mate offers no real advice here, says nothing of real value, and I have yet to find an example of Gabor Mate saying anything that can be applied to actual life.
