Proxmox Using Only ONE Device! (Beginner Install)

You can still use Proxmox if you only have one device available for use! In this video I show you how to install a desktop environment to your Proxmox server so you can access the web interface and all of your VM’s.

I did something similar, but backwards. I installed Debian Bullseye first, then installed proxmox over it, for me to have the full desktop experience from the beginning.

I found it to be very useful, specially when you want to manage other aspects of linux like settings and stuff, but you’re not very proficient with command line instructions.

So I can install Proxmox on my primary rig, set up VM's for different operating systems on it, can I also use GPU Passthrough to any of those VM's from that machine? And, this way. If I wanted to like go in my living room on a laptop and stay on my PC in my Office, I could do that? Am I understanding this all correctly? I just heard of proxmox for the first time yesterday lol

Thanks for sharing this tutorial. I wanted to use my hot swap drives to install and learn proxmox before I backup and wipe my server before I make the jump from openmediavault to proxmox so I'm not stuck because I don't know what I'm doing.

I wonder how to get vídeo of different port for each vm. I saw a YouTuber called "Morgonaut" that has three Vm and it get at one different monitor video output, running at the same time.

This actually got me thinking if I could run a sunshine server on a windows vm with gpu pass-through and then use moonlight to connect to it via the desktop environment (using a cpu with on-board graphics).
