The fact that GTX 1080 Ti has 3GB more VRAM than the almost similarly priced RTX 3070 Ti is atrocious.

Last reasonable nvidia card before they went all in on the greed.

I feel so old remembering when 1080ti was for rich kids

The 1080 ti being equal to a 6600xt or 3060 (which are still pretty popular) Is crazy.

The 1070 in my son's PC is still going strong and playing most games he plays (at 8 yrs old).

Working MSI GTX 1080 Ti still chilling in my shelf and don't wanna sell it cuz it was my first GPU ever and I loved it.
Replaced it with a 4080 last year in August tho.

Bought 1080ti at launch. Since then, I've upgraded to the 3080. Gave the 1080ti to my nephew. He still rocking it today with little to no issues.

I bought my 1080ti in the 30 series era and still use it now and I’ve never had performance issues caused by it’s lack of power, while I am saving for an rtx card purely for ray tracing capabilities I’ll always hold my 1080ti close to my heart

My life is complete.
When I came to America, was the EXACT day the GTX 1080-TI was released

And YES I do take credit for this.

My 1080Ti is going strong. I'm planning to upgrade to a 50 series though when they launch

I'm not sure if that minion was pooping out a patch or birthing a patch, but it's not what I expected to see today regardless.

I was gonna buy a 1080 Ti, luckily I found an RTX 2070 Super in my area for the same price. It was a no brainer since they perform the same, but now I have access to DLSS, it's more power efficient, and it's newer. Only downside is the 8gb of VRAM. You can't have it all on a budget.

Ive got 2 of them in my system. Still going strong, although lack of support for SLI has dwindled

I actually have used the 1080 Ti up until 2024 august. It was awesome but started to feel weak since I am using 2560*1080 and 75hz monitor. Furtunately, I managed to switch it to an rx 6700Xt for basically 30$. In reality, 6700 xt is about 20% avg faster in most games than the 1080 ti and this is what I experienced, too. I was very happy with 1080 Ti and also happy with 6700 xt. I am looking for either an 5070 from nvidia or an 8800 xt from amd, next year.

The fact that we are discussing this card in 2024/2025 shows how far ahead of it's time the 1080 ti was ❤.

Ive been running an Asus strix 1080ti since the year it launched alongside a 7700k. Back then that was a pretty nice setup. I just ordered a 9800x3d and 4070ti super for a new build.

People forget that this was advertised as a 4k / 60 card, and that people were mad Nvidia raised prices to charge $700 for it.

We look back fondly on it now, but thar wasn't the sentiment back then. I bring up that it was considered the "4k GPU" because it's funny how people describe cards now.

You'll see people call the 7900 GRE & 4070 Super "1440p cards" just because there are higher tier cards available. But these cards are more than capable of doing 4k/60 in many games, even if there are some more demanding games that exist.

I was able to get a GTX 1080Ti for free as ewaste a few years ago, been using it with a Ryzen 3600 for dual 2K 60Hz displays. It gets 60FPS at 2k medium settings in every game I want to play (Satisfactory, No Mans Sky, etc)

The 1080Ti was a beast, that's for sure. Considering where flagship GPU cost is now, the 1080Ti was certainly a value card.
