this is more to do with the fact that game devs are relying on frame gen and upscaling to do the work instead of properly optimizing the textures and game engine, so older gpus that dont have access to dlss just lose basically.

If anybody is looking to buy one, look into the 2070 super, same price, same performance, but the 2070 super is newer and has DLSS.

There will never be another 1080 like card. They saw it was way to ahead of its time and in current consumer life you can’t release a product that gets older than 4 years for a good price. Either overcharge the customer or just don’t let it get that old. At least that’s what shareholders want.

Gosh. I feel so old looking at anything related to pc hardware. I remember when I got into it the gtx 980 was the absolute pinnacle of performance. And for those absolute madlads beyond the top they'd have them in SLI.
I miss those days. They were simpler. Easier. Life wasnt how it is now
