Thanks for covering this matter. I personally had an experience last year where I had to unnecessarily upgrade my motherboard, thinking that it has problem when I had some start up issues. While it was the PSU whose components died. I took it to a reputed computer shop here in my city, but they made this wrong diagnosis.

I found that mere 80+ bronze rating is not sufficient. You should also look at the holding time of the PSU. If it is less that 16 ms at 100% of load then you should avoid them. It won't matter for PCs with low power consumption, but if you have a >170W GPU then you might have shut down issues while working on your computer with full GPU usage. No matter how good UPSs you use, the PC will shut down.

Unfortunately, many big companies (like even MSI or Super Flower) hides this information (holding time data) in their product pages.

PS: I am not endorsing DeepCool (the PF550D I used was not good and died in couple of years) but I found the DeepCool PSUs to be more reliable from this point, where they publicly present all the data about their PSUs.

Ig bhai maine, apni antec vp450 watt psu ke saath rx 6600 lagaya hai jo ki maine 3 din phle liya tha (tdp 132 watt). mere sabhi pc components ki total power consumption 250-260 watt hogi, wahin mera psu +12 rail par 396 watt de sakta hai.
Isme japanese capacitors bhi lage hain

main 3 din se is par gaming kar rha hun, cyberpunk ko maximum settings pe chalate ke vakt hi psu se garm hawa aati hai, aur call pf duty ww2, spiderman jaise games me bhi ye jyada heat nahi hota. maine koi bhi sudden shutdown bhi nahi dekhe abhi tak.

I Built a PC in 2020 with i5 9400F, and GTX 1650s i used a 600W PSU 80+ Bronze by Antec, 600W overkill against the 450w required... And it's working till date superb..

Keep Load %age lower and temperature cool the PSU failure chance will sure be far less
