You forgot stage ##: Decided to start a really hard project -> Gets busy on other stuff -> Forgets plane crazy -> Doesn't play for a few months -> Decides to come back -> Play a few times a month -> Slowly finishes the project that he gave up on -> Success! -> never uses the build ever again…

Joined plane crazy 1 year ago and damn its accurate lol, except i never build a Tut (though i did steal elements from some tuts improve my own) and just went to stage 4-ish (-ish because my builds aren't motorlocked, and rarely exceed 700 speed, however I did get decent pvp kills even against shredders)

Spent almost 4 months learning how to make proper planes, and when i build my first presentable, combatable plane (ME262) felt so good

For me it’s:

Stage 1: make goofy ah plane then use tutorial
Stage 2: use tutorials, tutorial plane doesn’t fly makes planes by self
Stage 3: discover motor lock then use it minimally
Stage 4: use motor lock mainly and start combining weapons together
Stage 5: discover angle lock and piston lock and use them for pvp purposes and those types of locking result in weapons of mass destruction that can put almost any vehicle in a casket

I have not built a jet in years, last time I built one was before people started using those weird grinding machines or building tutorial jets full of parts that are locked inside one another or whatever that’s called, now I just build giant airships and watch in satisfaction as it gets slowly destroyed

I joined plane crazy 3 years ago in mid 2020 and I had learnt various elements from tutorials as I think that they are one of the best ways to learn this game then I started doing guides, got more creative and took a 4 month break in 2021-2022 then started playing again and experimented with folds by making a 6 fold 2 story nuclear submarine but I have not finished it dues to my computer being a potato so when I load it I can not even fold it lol. Anyways, I then started making planes like a yak 1, fighter jet, dual cockpit fighter jet, and a kamikaze plane but now in December I had worked multiple days to build a b29 and I have finally started using motor lock in the form of Bemba which I would drop and can cover the area of the entire railroad loop next to spawn. I would say I am early to mid level 4 and am probably going to get much better with me striving to learn advanced motor lock and ground vehicle suspension and also large aircraft and or sea craft. I would say I am probably learning pretty fast right now with me building a warthog from halo to lean stuff likes suspension, turrets and custom wheels. To say, the game is very fun and all but at times you can be burnt out so take a long enough break and always take feedback. If you use tutorials, don’t claim they are yours but instead use them to learn or fly around for fun just don’t get on people’s nerves as most people hate tutorials but they don’t bother me lol. I can’t wait for plane crazy 2 as it will have far more save slots and features for me to use and it will refresh the whole experience without tearing builds away from me.

I am between stage 4-5 but in boats.I have 16 days into the game and i am proud to say i made a big ocean liner that had not been made from any tutorials and it is still not bad.The only tutorial was the folding mechanizm and the lifeboats wich in the end i did not follow the tutorial and made my own cause the tutorial boats were questionable but the interior the elevator and everything else is made by my imagination.I am slowly getting there and making the best interiors i have ever made in a ship that big.

Honestly, I played the game for 2 - 3 Years. And I think I am on late stage three when it comes to warplanes and commercial planes.
I am predicting to enter Stage 4 during summer or more early.
I am basically inspired by others from namnam or Gjsolo such as my friend Duratch. And other youtubers such as Chizzled cheese and others.
They're basically cool.
And to inspire you.
Never give up and trust yourself, you just have to keep trying, no matter what.

I started playing in 2019, in my opinion, stages should be :

1- Starter player, barely knows how to build and just use tuts
2- Mid player, starts getting interested by more sophisticated builds (motorlock)
3- Mid to average player, starts making his own motorlocked planes
4- Average player, just watch every nam nam's videos and is full of ideas
Most of the pc community

5- Advanced player, experimented in motorlock, camlock, build his own planes and stuff
TheMadVulpen level

6- Searcher, player that starts over engineering to find new way to "lock"
Nam nam level

7- Plane Crazy engineer, you're the under 0.1% plane crazy community that discovers various way to lock and abuse of it in your builds so every players are like "bro r u cheating rn ?". At this point you reached the top since the game become a limit to your creativity and your lust even after trying every common and uncommon mechanics of "lock" and you're overtrying to play with the game's blocks physics. You're some kind of Belkan engineer.

That would be a me and some friends level

For me:
#Stage 1: I build a bizzare and asymmetric design of a plane
#Stage 2: Tried to copy and follow tutorials but ended up designing my own very cool spaceship
#Stage 3: Get bored, build whatever or sometimes, never finished it

Plane crazy for me was the beginning of some manner of addiction an addiction to constructing creations
whenever i see an editor of say submarines in barotrauma
or in space engineers to ability to create whatever i want
i proceed to spend hours in it tuning and constructing whatever the hell i want
in plane crazy i used to build all sorts of whacky creations including some for pvp
my favorite one to this day remains the chainsaw roomba which i use to decimate ground based tanks
but i prefer to construct facilities tanks sea vehicles and even mechs other then planes
whatever i do i simply put am unable to make any sort of plane no matter how hard i try
the closest thing i ever made to a plane was a space ship, that didnt even have wings

I am somewhere near getting better, since though I don't build giant planes or mega structures, I do build cars that have some sort of luxury to them, mostly concepts, and I soon finished my first project, GlaDOS. from Portal 2. along with a goofy ahh personality core.

Well, i'm on stage 4, except i don't build jets. Only WW2 planes, because my phone is a potato and it would wobble as shit

I used to play this game when i was 12 in 2018-2019, I simply forgot about plane crazy and came back this year... Man i don't even know how to play this game anymore, what the heck is motor lock and how do you learn that?? Honestly, its crazy man lol

on stage 2 they put wheels on a blocky white structure with lots of weapons on it and call it a "war machine" or something
a plane would be too advanced for them lol

Honestly the tutorial phase is optional you could either ask your sever how to do stuff or just look at other people's builds

building something in plane crazy nowadays either gives me a PTSD attack or I make decent progress and forget that the build exists for 2 months
