5 Stages of Grian ▫️ Double Life (Grian and GoodTimesWithScar (and Jellie!) Animatic

I was working on this animatic before work, at lunch break and after work every day for 4 weeks! I just fell in love with this season and wanted to speedrun this animatic. Now it's finally time to relax haha!!

I think next animatics wont be so big as these past two. I need to do something small for a change.

How Scar's cane is holding up on his back? Well, he has a belt with a strong magnet under his clothes. So he can just hook his cane in one motion. Pretty convenient.

Also I've never drawn cats before.

I love how health is represented with hearts on their arms!! That’s very neat - they’re all so expressive, and the use of perspectives are great <33 this fully encapsulates the disastrous chaos of desert duo, , amazing!! (and the jellies are adorable!!)

First part of the sheer panic for needing to eat to regain health was so spot on. Everyone just kind a dropped what they were doing and threw stuff at Grian cause they could tell it was a huge panic moment.

Literally only grian could have the energy to put up with scar. Its such a good thing they were together. Also I think I've fallen in love with pretty much ever animatic that includes scar in it at this point. He's ALWAYS so adorable and i just wanna hug his oblivious self 🥺

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but I adore the way you drew Scar's skin with Jellie on his head! The way he scares G with it translates well through the drawing, and the way Scar looks out from under the cloak is a really nice touch.

This animatic so elegantly and simply translates the tone of the clips and the Minecraft blockiness into easily understandable and readable artwork! If someone who has never seen double life saw this they could easily pick up the gimmick of the series-- and that it's based in minecraft,
you're not afraid to animate pauses between dialogue and silences which is something I noticed with the mumbo vault animatic as well, it's a great strength to have :D this is one of the best hermit animatics I've seen !
