New here, I love that you said support the locals. They truly truly need that $, for food & shelters. I’m now following you it says a lot about you. I’m a big supporter of mom & pop shop & Etsy is a great online option. Which people would not shop as much on Amazon.
We, need to fine time to go to the mall because one day it will all be gone.
Love your tips

One thing I have done to keep from being broke or mugged is I get Visa/Mastercard prepaid cards carry those on me and leave real ones in hotel safe that way even if you get mugged you don't hand over credit cards that you would have to cancel.

I ALWAYS have several trips planned. All I have to do is plug in dates and make last minute adjustments.

I think I need to show this channel to my mom, lol. I'm in high school right now and I really want to travel when I'm older, but every time I talk about it it's "Ok but women can never travel alone so go with a friend". Don't get me wrong, that seems fun too, but I kind of want to see the world without someone I already know and will probably be attached to for the entire trip, if that makes sense.

Great tips in here! I'm old school, so haven't tried Pinterest or Insta to make plans. Also, I'm not much of a planner, so perhaps that's why? Anyway, I'll add a couple of additional resources that have been useful to me over the years. 1) If you're not fixated on a specific destination, skyscanner does a good job of letting you search for "everywhere" from wherever you are at the moment. Especially useful for cheap visa runs since the destination doesn't matter. 2) The blog/app "Secret Flying" scours the interwebs for cheap fares and occasionally turns up some ridiculously cheap ones (e.g., I've seen west coast US to Europe for under $220 roundtrip). Set up an alert for fares from your city/nearby cities that you can get to inexpensively (e.g., a Chicago resident would do an alert for Detroit as well), and keep an eye out for fares that are both inexpensive and also places you'd be interested in visiting.

My gf doesn’t want to go with me exploring and sleeping in my truck, so glad you’re sharing this video. Maybe we’ll meet up sometime somewhere and have our own adventure.
