with around 40 to go kyle had 3~4 sec lead and chase brought it back to around 1 and a half before kyle just peaced out on the field and lapped all but the top ten lmao

Probably not but he had track position and clean air the whole race and that means more in Nascar these days than having the fastest car. When passing is so difficult, track position and clean air becomes king. Look at Truex. Was a 2nd place car all day and perhaps had something for Larson, but got the speeding penalty and went nowhere, was stuck in dirty air the rest of the race.

Elliott needs to start qualifying better and starting with good track position like Larson and then he might be able to be more competitive.

I am a Chase fan but Kyle Larson is a better driver at this point which is obvious in performance all around. This car leaves little room for any kind of error which drivers and teams have to adapt to for a particular driver. Hopefully Chase will continue to improve with this car and be more competitive with the top elite drivers.

Elliott just can’t admit he is not the talent that Larson is. They could switch cars and Larson would out perform Elliott. That’s the way the cookie crumbles!

Chase is my favorite driver, but he’s wrong here. That was actually dumb of him to say. The reason he sliced through traffic and you got caught up was bc he had the better car and was the better driver. Just facts. 🤷🏻‍♂️

On a playoff note a Team like TrackHouse(this year's TH) and a driver like Suarez should not be moving on to round of 12. Suarez only moved on because he figured out Atlanta. You shouldn't move on in playoffs because you luck into a single win or figure out how to score max points at one race. Nascar could easily have a playoff knockout format that is more exciting but not rewarding 20th to 30th place cars/teams and knocking out a top 10 car like Truex because of one pit road speeding penalty(note not a Truex fan).

Truth is Larson has the best Crew Chief in Nascar. Elliott has one of the worst. The fact he finished 2nd is still pretty impressive.

Cliff Daniels light years better than Alan Gustafson. I cant wait until Alan retires even though Hendrick will make sure Chase does not get a top notch crew chief. Larson is the Golden Boy at HMS and Byron is 2nd with driving the 24. Gordon clearly likes Larson and Byron more than Elliott.
