I wish I'd seen this earlier. Would have saved me a lot of grief. My wife used to record me sitting in with bands on her (fairly high-quality) Android phone and before posting vids to YT they badly needed editing to get rid of visuals before band started, endings, and for length. But doing that in Premiere Elements was a nightmare. I finally figured it was a variable framerate issue and just didn't know there was a workaround until today. My solution was just being very careful what was recorded and not editing at all, because if you cut it even once, it was worse than having uninteresting places in the recording. Your solution here is good, except there are a number of issues for me. First I use Premiere Elements, so no readout of framerate for vids, and I am using it on a PC, so the tool you use may not work on my machine.
But those are my problems. Thank you very much for the time and effort and spirit behind posting this. It is very helpful to me, and others. Just knowing what the issue is is very illuminating.

I’m trying to run a gaming channel, but you can’t record audio on an Xbox without streaming or a capture card so I record the audio on my iPad and the footage on the Xbox and so when I overlay them it’s a little bit off because I started recording a second earlier on my iPad or whatever, and that’s okay, because it’s only a second. But when I start cutting parts out it gets super off and I don’t know why. near the end of the video I do the outro there’s like a 10 second period after I end the recording on the Xbox but it’s just a black screen and me saying the outro. But the outro on the Xbox ended 10 seconds ago. So I don’t know what to do

mine im using VLLO and i like making amvs to my favorite animes is pisses me off because i was making one earlier and when i cut the audio and add a sound offect and when i play it the audio just stops where i cut the audio and it will noy play together like wtf

The Time on my android is out of sync and is continuously getting more and more out of sync and it causes all the videos I watch to be out of sync too. I have completely turned off and back on multiple times and it's done nothing. You seem to be discussing something else entirely, but do you have any tips? As it's really annoying.
