I have the strangest problem: every time I try and sync, the linked cam/aud tracks move to the location of the new audio file, instead of the audio file moving to the linked file. I've tried putting things on different tracks above and below each other but always the linked files move. And you can't lock the track or its not selectable to sync. Your example works, so whats the difference? whats the bug or preference or something that I'm missing here? Help please if you can.

i was recording a play and i was confused how the miers audio wasent syncing up propely some parts where right on cue others where off. Turns out i was using the wrong video. it was from the night befor and i would have never notice if it wasent for the speach at the begining of the audio track having 1 word difrent then the auudio on the video track.

Is it possible to do this once the entire project is already edited? I want to edit by cutting clips directly from the source files, instead of syncing all of the footage beforehand and then pulling selects from the timeline.

Great video! An even faster way to delete the source audio is to Alt + click on the audio, then delete. No need to unlink.

For me, after selecting the tracks, "synchronize" is greyed out and I can't press it, no idea why 😢

If you use a clapperboard you get a nice sharp spike and you can get the exact frame in the video when the clapperboard Strikes Together if you line up the SPIKES in your audio with the exact microsecond the clapperboard in the video clap together everything will be perfectly synced.

Brilliant video and very helpful indeed. My audio tracks synced up perfectly using the clap. Now I just need to figure out how to align the video with the audio ;-)
