The 5 BEST DEEP DISH PIZZAS in CHICAGO 🍕

CHICAGO is known for its Deep Dish Pizza, and as such... Chicago has the BEST and MOST FAMOUS Deep Dish Pizza in the World. It's a one stop shop for the best and deepest slices, so I had to make my way over to the Windy City and give the Top 5 a try.

I tried Giordano's Deep Dish Pizza, Lou Malnati's Deep Dish Pizza, and several others on the search for the Best Deep Dish in Chicago, and I found something really interesting, and that a few different places really excel at different aspects of the pie.

It's criminal that Chicago Style Deep Dish hasn't found its way across America, but for the moment if you want to get that perfect pie, you'll need to head to the Second City, and I'm so happy you're joining me for the ride.

From Chicago? Going to Chicago? I can't wait to hear where I went wrong. Let me know YOUR favorite pizza in the comments, and be sure to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and click the BELL so you never miss a chance to GET LOST with me!

Did you know the "The Bean" is under construction until the Spring? I found that out the hard way 😭.

What's your favorite deep dish? Did I miss it? 👀

Native of Chicago. I've been to all of these except Pequod's multiple times. Lou Malnati's -- you're correct that the crust is the best thing. Try the "Lou Special", though. This is a buttery spinach and sun dried tomato pizza, with a mix of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses... mind blowing. Giordano's is also not the traditional deep dish because it has a second crust. This is what we call "stuffed pizza". But, it is consistently good across all outlets I've been to. Gino's East.... used to be my favorite, but I haven't lived near one in a long time. IMHO, this chain has had some problems keeping their product consistent across stores and/or individual chefs. What you had doesn't look like Gino's East to me at all. If that's what they're doing now., I can understand why there has been some criticism of them lately. Since I haven't been to Pequod's, I'll refrain from saying much about them, but anybody that claims that the natives agree that any one pizza place is the best is absolutely full of it. Also... the way Pequod's puts their pizza together... it looks much more like a round Detroit style pizza than a traditional deep dish. Don't get me wrong Detroit style is awesome... but it's not the same thing,

Gotta get the thin crust at Gino's.

Since it's fair season, maybe you still have time to go to one in Texas or The Big E.

0:52 Best gangster impression 😎

You could have promoted Get Lost at Gino's East by writing the channel name on the wall. 😁

After looking through Google Maps, it looks like Pizzeria Uno was the birthplace of the deep dish pizza? 🤔

Cracker Jack, Twinkies, and the Brownie were also invented in Chicaaago.

Giordano’s is stuffed. Lou is deep dish. Say it with me now

Giordano's is stuffed pizza and, for all its profundity, it's not strictly deep-dish. I don't know how Pequod got a reputation for anything beyond being the ship in Moby Dick. For certain, its also not deep-dish. Original Gino's East no longer features its original crust and on this count alone thus fails. First-timers should simply head for the nearest Lou Malnati's ...

I'm from Illinois... who actually likes deep dish? It's gross... like a bread bowl of pizza sauce and cheese.
