Living in the suburbs of Illinois, I personally had both before, and my favorite is Lou Malnati’s. Giordano’s is still good but Lou Malnati’s is better in my opinion.

Been a HUGE Giordanos fan for years, still in love with it and always claimed my favorite pizza. Just tried Lou Malnatis and the one thing is the crust is definitely better, and I never even like crust. That made it a better experience to eat. BUT the insane amount of perfect cheese in Giordanos will always keep it ahead, mind blowing cheese and thickness.

It's a very tough call, I love them both. Giordano's tends to have more cheese while Lou Malnati's tends to have better sauce. Both have excellent crust.

I visited Illinois last summer, staying in a suburb of Chicago visiting relatives. We ordered Giordano's one evening and I have never eaten a pizza so delicious! Curious to try Lou Malnati's next time I'm in the area to see if it holds up! :)

Lou Malnati's is number one! 10/10 for me. The crust is so buttery and delicious, it might be a bit plain for some people but if it is I would recommend getting their homemade sauces that are also delicious and incredible! I always get their homemade ranch whenever ordering pizza because it fits perfectly with it.
