I'm only able to eat a cup or two of food at a time comfortably due to a hiatal hernia. I realize that it should be the higher nutrient dense foods and not fill up with the potatoes I love for instance because that is higher calorie, lower nutrients. It is a struggle to only eat the majority of the time this way but I'm working on it. Thank you for teaching us all you do in a way that makes sense long term and not a fad diet which is unsustainable.

If you are eating WFPB and you're not eating to "stuff" yourself, you will continue to lose weight until your body reaches it's correct weight (at this point, you will have very little access fat on your body) and your body's weight will stabilize. Your body knows where it's ideal healthy weight is supposed to be - you don't have to struggle or think about it. When we talk about whole foods, we are as well talking about nuts and seeds. These foods are a very healthy food source for us but as with everything we can overeat these as well. If you are not losing the weight that you think you should in an appropriate time frame, you might consider lowering the amount of these higher fatty foods you are consuming. In most cases, eat food in a correct WFPB way, and forget about losing weight or getting healthier. Two of the many symptoms of consuming well balanced Whole Plant Based foods is being healthy and losing weight - it's a 'no brainer'. Peace and love...

I love your recipes so much Dr F its hard to stop eating them perhaps a delicious salad!! Your book changed my life for the better! I could eat a whole can of nuts😱 or peanut butter lol hv to watch that! Simply put eating too much food period puts weight on, even yummy food like your recipies

I’m on Day 37 of a juice fast, and I’ve only lost 6 pounds (I wasn’t too far from my ideal weight, so maybe that’s why). I’m 5’3.” Mid 40s.

I only get around to juicing 6-8 cups a day, and I do more vegetables than fruit.

I also ingest about 40 grams of protein powder from plant-based and collagen based sources.

Is 2 pounds a week more for people who have, say, 30+ pounds to lose?
