While this works for the older models, if you have the Google Nest mini (the main difference is that you can mount the Nest Mini on the wall), you have to switch off the mic and press the middle of the top between the LEDs instead.

Holding the reset button till the light turned green was the key to the reset process. I had a Google home mini that I bought overseas lying useless for months which was got fixed after seeing this and a couple of other videos.

Apparently the Google home mini can only connect when attached to a wall outlet, not an extender.

Both the devices need to be on the same network. The Mini is reading wifi configuration from your phone/tablet. And your main device needs to be connected to wifi.

Also it helps to disconnect your wifi and reconnect if the Mini isn't connecting after multiple tries.

If your wifi password is incorrectly stored in your main device then out wouldn't connect. I have multiple networks and i was trying tho connect my device to a network which i had changed the pastries and not updated out on my device.

Hey guys make sure you are actually on the same wifi network or the Google device won't be found lol i felt so dumb for a minute 🤦🏻 I was trying everything for a couple hours then I remembered I had switched my wifi off earlier Lol! I turned it back on and restarted the app and voila. Hope it helps you guys scrolling down here
