Business-wise I agree with you, Nintendo going all out to support the Switch when the main console market is actually losing consumers en-masse to the PC market or just losing consumers period could make a lot of profit people who stopped gaming or went to other platforms but got their interest piqued by the Switch. My main concern is that: Nintendo going all out on something, which is something we know they don't do as they prefer to play it safe using the Japanese market as their main source of revenue and considering other markets after the preference of the Japanese.
With that in mind I see the only way Nintendo would even consider putting their main 3DS titles and others on the Switch from the get-go is if they get an shitton of pre-orders world-wide, which is unlikely. But who knows? Maybe something weird happens and Nintendo does an good business decision looking for the ocidental markets.

We need ports from 3DS to Switch, let’s post and ask Nintendo & The Pokémon Company, we need ports of Pokémon X & Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Sun & Moon and UltraSun & UltraMoon on Nintendo Switch

A new Pokemon game, and a main series entry, at the first year of the Switch alongside a new 3D Mario and Breath of the Wild?! Couple that with Splatoon and Mario Kart, which at this point could either be enhanced ports or new entries, and you have a very strong first year line up for first party titles alone! I can see the Switch selling 10 millions on its first year if this line up comes true!

This would be answer to one of their problems with the Wii U: promises of big titles coming down the road, but not right now. Well, we'll wait until these titles come before buying a U, then. The titles came, and they were successful for the installed base of the console, but Nintendo lost years of possible revenue by not having the big names on the console from the start, and the damage was beyond repair!

If they can just get the big names out in the first year and sell well, then third party developers will naturally bring their big titles to the console and create a vicious cycle of big titles coming to the console because it has big titles! One of the reasons third parties avoided the U at first was because it had no big titles at launch, meaning gamers would wait before buying the console until those titles came out, so third parties wouldn't have the necessary installed base to develop for it, leading even more big names to skip the console!
