My dog Atlas and I (Brett) hot tent camp in Storm Elliot, one of the most intense blizzards and cold storms in decades! With over 2 and half ft of heavy snowfall in less than 2 days we risk surviving the night with a sled full of gear and a pot of delicious chili on the wood stove.

This has been the most extreme weather conditions by far! But you and Atlas make it look so easy! Keep these videos coming. Can’t wait to see your next adventure!

Another nice episode. Atlas took the train. Unfortunately, you were the train tracking through a waist high snow. I took my dog on an early fall hike about 3 miles down a rail trail. She went into the stream next to the trail and came out limping. Guess who got a 3 mile train ride back to my truck.

The amount of snow there looked insane. It seemed almost as deep as in that excellent film from a few years ago, Wind River, where a Native American trapper extracted a brutal revenge on the ringleader of a group of rapists and murderers on a Native Reservation, by taking up into the high parts of Gannett Peak and making him run bare foot through the deep snow and bitter cold as a mirror punishment for his crimes.

He was trying to survive ... but you were out in that for pleasure! :p

Just playing. It looked like you and the furry one had a real blast. I bet it’s real cozy when the stove has kicked in, listening to the howling wind outside, but feeling warm and content with full tummies and a thick, comfy, sleeping bag.

Cheers, I love especially clever photography in this video. Great experience for sure - quite gets me there into the cold as well :D

Brett.. You said "surviving the night with a sled full of gear and a pot of delicious chili, which you ate before climbing into your sleeping bag and zipping it up. Congratulations!

I've never understood why they always pack the snow down and not shovel it to the ground if I was walking in it all day I wouldn't want to be in it inside the tent

You didn't have to tell us that you have never done that before we can tell
