6 Nights of Extremely Cold Winter Camping in a Hot Tent (-40F / -40C Degrees)

I head out with Jake Ski Guy and our buddy Ken to spend 6 nights camping in the wilderness during a polar vortex. The temperatures are extremely cold and it was the coldest it has been all winter. We cook up some delicious food and do our best to stay warm.

My temperature analysis may have been a little off. Or a little high I should say.
This article shows a temperature reading 20 miles away from where we were camping.

Experienced - 40c one time on a field exercise in Norway (army). That's the first time I really understood how warm and important the sun is and the incredible feeling it was when it started to creep up over the trees.

It was so cold that it would be inhumane to bring the dogs out in those brutal temperatures. So as a substitute Matthew took two buddies instead. LOL

When other tubers are busting out 8-minute video's (which I barely get through), yours are two and three hours. And my wife and I watch every minute! Super inspiring! So much so, no more sofa time... I purchased a tent and stove, and I am looking forward to my first outing! Thank you!

Great video as always! Another semi-sleepless night to toss n turn -watch/ listen to peaceful camping videos.

When your friend dumped the Pad Thai noodles into the mixing bowl and said " ringworm" I laughed so🐶ing hard and was so grossed out at the same time. So damn him for keeping me wide awake and making eating rice noodles impossible ever again. Also the axe cut egg yolks looked so delicious.

You guys are hammers 💪 and you make me laugh and that's what it's all about.

I have to be honest I’ve fallen asleep to this vid at 3 times already and watched it fully once, the idea of being a hot tent in sub zero temperature makes me feel so calm and secure.

Me: super jealous of having friends to go out into the wilderness with for a week no matter the weather/temp.

P.S. Only Posa would hurt both eyes on a trip while equipped with goggles.

If I had a dollar for every time I camped outside in -50 I probably wouldn't have to pay rent for a couple of months.
I was born and raised in the Jackson Hole valley area. I love watching your videos because it brings back old memories and this old lady can't hardly get from one room to the next anymore let alone camp out in -50.
I guess you could say I'm living life vicariously through your videos, thank you for sharing sir!
