INSANE COLD HITS HOT TENT. SNOW COLLAPSES TENT

Показать описание
When the wind is blowing in the far reaches of Canada, it can be painful, dangerous, and deadly. Luckily I have a remote wilderness tent where I am safe from extremely freezing winds. I also have a big wood stove, and a hefty sleeping bag to keep me warm when the temperatures dip below -40.

I have 2 tents up this winter. One is set up to test its durability. But after a big dump of snow, it has been crushed. It's not broken, but it tells me that the tent may not be suitable for this kind of test.

Join me for food, coffee, and a fire in the freezing sub-arctic.

"I'm not a bush crafter, I'm just a guy with a tent ". I don't know why, but that just struck me as a really great quote.

The coffee-mate would burn if thrown into the air as a cloud of dust. The same thing happens with flour, custard powder etc. (Many years ago there was an explosion in a Birds Custard Powder factory caused by a cloud of powder in the air and a spark)

In a virtual sea of winter tent camping, survivalist expert videos..., The greatest line ever spoken in -40 middle of goddamn nowhere, , freezing my ass off to make a video, , 🥶 "I'm not a bushcrafter" I'm a guy who has a tent " .., I'm standing in front of my computer screen, , in a salute position., warm wooly socks covering my feet and hands., thank you good sir for your candid honesty

Jay, thanks for the content. I know, I speak for many of your subscribers, especially those of us who are stuck in the suburbs and metropolitan areas. We live vicariously through your 'day trips' to the cabin. Virtually being able to escape for a few minutes means a lot.

I’m from Florida and I love your videos and am amazed at how much snow there is and how you can survive there. Thank you for sharing with this 72 year old grandmother I’ve watched for a long time now and will continue to do so. Had to edit you can do anything we need more men like you.

My husband and I have been watching your videos together for a while, and I finally decided to leave you a comment and tell you just how much we enjoy these videos! We usually watch them just before bed and the winter videos especially are so relaxing and calming to us. I told my husband after watching this video together tonight that the food you make in your videos makes me hungrier than any of the food YouTubers that I watch lol! Everything (okay, maybe not the canned meats lol) looks so good!!! Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us and giving my husband and I a channel to enjoy together after a busy day 😊

Another great video! I take that same can of corned beef and I break it all up with a fork, add a can of diced potatoes and an onion, fry it all up and it's delicious! Slap a couple of over easy eggs on top and it's a hearty meal. Stay safe and warm!

For that bereg popup tent, cut a sapling and place it under the center hub so it is supported against the ground. This should help prevent the roof from collapsing inwards as you showed. For your wedge and mallet splitting technique, I'd would use a dead blow hammer (plastic shell) so that you are less likely to damage the back of the hatchet or axe that you are using for the wedge.

Jay, add some onions to the corned beef while it is frying. Definitely the best. Add some spicy Dijon mustard and you have a wicked sandwich in the woods.

All the best.

I use a temporary adjustable support post for my hunting blind when I'm not using it. It's great. The roof has never collapsed from snow, and my blind is no were as strong as your tent. You should put up a few trail cams in the woods near your tent. Keep up the good work with you channel.

Like steel wool, the coffee creamer will ignite with enough oxygen around it. Myth busters did it where the blew it in the air and it ignited. Interesting episode

Fox and coyote a baby like all of us. Deserves to live. Having a hard time these days finding food. We all need love. Those little paws won't hurt much. I have faced off a mountain lion with love. And I was injured. Mom did her best to get human help and succeeded. She pretended to raid the chickens at the homesteader's. He said she was acting weird. So he came. I was rescued.
