I also use them both : Google drive for Docs, Sheets and Photos, Dropbox for quick stuff to drop and read on my phone/PC/whatever then I delete.

Dropbox pricing is for long term member and usage as they are a business where else one drive and google drove trying to combine with their existing system only. One thing to overcome is to not view free is good and choose the best one and most important is your business and work does better and overcome the scheme.

I have 10gb of free dropbox storage an its more than enough for my work flow. I only use it to sync files across different devices. I recently learned that you can only sync 3 devices… I have a home pc, an office pc, a laptop, and a phone, i need my docs on at least these 4 devices. I don’t need 2tb and I don’t want to pay 10 dollars a month. They are pushing me out…

And I bet that Google is indexing your pictures, and keeping track of their content. Not a big problem, right? But what about when they'll start corroborating that info with the one in your profile? Many users have sensitive content pictures, like those adult personal photos.

Since I have Android, I use Google Drive for all my files, but I use Dropbox for secret photos that I keep to my self (don't as why)🤭

Google drive lags more when you have large number of files. Dropbox moved my files way faster than Google drive.
