Awesome video! There’s a lot of misconceptions about this career path. Nothing worse than a family member asking what’s the best stock to buy right now lol.

Thanks for sharing awesome tips! I'm financially free and currently growing a solid retirement plan. It takes a positive and consistency to learn new things, unlearn the old habits Ms important to get a mentor/coach to lead you all the way. It's great to start young too!

Lol the last two minutes.
I do tax prep now and it is seriously like being a therapist. Grateful I went through some shitty times to be able to help others going through it. And so glad I have tax knowledge! Thanks for the info.

I like the point about not knowing how to actually invest. That’s so true some of the most successful advisors I met in my career came from non financial backgrounds and didn’t really know much about the market other than real basics. Long story short I left the industry. 😅

Thanks you for this video, it was very helpful. Since you said tax is so important, I’m wondering you you think it’d be beneficial to be a CPA as well as a CFP. Would it increase the opportunities that are available? Would it increase the value I could bring to a client? I’m an undergraduate finance student wanting to be a financial advisor with the long term goal of eventually owning my own firm.

New goal has been added onto the list.
Become a single, not married financial advisor.
The best for last got me hooked.
I am an accountant, so I think once I become a Chartered Accountant there may be a similar effect. I just need to hit up a gym and get some muscles until then.

The downside of being an accountant is unreasonable hours. I am literally on meds to try maintain the level of anxiety and prevent my nervous system from collapsing.

To all financial advisors out there, we express our gratitude to all of you! Thanks Aj, we appreciate you sharing these 7 tips with us. My favorites are the last two. I'm just curious about where and how you create leads that attract more clients and prospects?
