Thank you for this video unfortunately when I drag a clip from the Media Pool towards the right side of the screen nothing happens though. There is not a Pulldown Menu showing up. I am in Edit Mode. Where do I go wrong?

This is amazing! Please help me out here, I have a clip in which the audio plays but the thing is it is completely black. And no, it is not disabled and it is the only clip in the video which is black. It has some star icon near the clip, the only one which has it. Please help me fix it

Great, thank you! The other night I accepted the Windows 11 download. When I opened up DR again, I had 2 copies of my current video project, so I deleted one. Then began editing as normal, even opened and closed DR a couple times over the course of the session, and nothing was abnormal...I had all the previous clips I edited in the timeline, plus the new clips I was working on that night. Then, last night I was trying to show off to my wife that my current video is going to be an improvement over my last one, so I convinced her to watch my project progress. Happiness. However, when I opened up the project, all my previous work was gone, but everything from the other night forward was there. Sadness. So, now I'm out looking how to insert clips at the beginning of the timeline without affecting later clips, since I need to do a lot of that now. Your vid gave me the answer I was looking for. Thanks again!

awesome video!! Is there a way in Davinci to put a fade between 2 clips in the same track? For example if I want to cut a part of a clip and then mix the 2 remains with the end of the first on top of the beginning of the second and put a fade there, can I do this in the same track or I have necessarly to use 2 video tracks for that?

I think I need to setup workspace and give more space to certain things, I need to learn more about setting up I think but for now.
question on trying to add scenes into one. what I did was edit and saved in davinci thinking I can than go in and open them all up and just take the clips in the file saved and add them into one big video, only seems I can't. does this mean I have to go into one video and save SEPARATELY each clip?? instead of just separating in the video and then later just go in and grab the cut sections. not sure if this is making sense lol
